It certainly appears that the original spirit of the First Amendment was that everyone should be free to engage in the religious practices that best suit them
I am not even American, but that much I even know. Jefferson phrased it well

I agree

All RF Christians seem to disagree with this sofar

Take your utter nonsense elsewhere. ...

Edit: What's so funny @Jayhawker Soule ?
What is sadly funny is that you've just mimicked the very attitude you attack in your opening. The hypocrisy should be at least mildly embarrassing; you're perfectly willing to tell others to shut up, but you wax indignant at the very thought that some right wing Christian might tell you to take "take you paganism elsewhere."

People should not try t
Have religious freedom? Not according to some.

"On Saturday, July 16th 2022, the Witch’s Fest event held in Astor Place, New York City (NYC), was invaded by a group of evangelical Christians who clearly believed that their religion was the only one which should be followed."

Should Witches and Pagans be Accorded Religious Freedom?

Also, something the GOP and conservatives, (maybe even the Originalists) should take note of:

"It is important to muse upon what Mr (Thomas) Jefferson had to say about the First Amendment:

“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof’, thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.”

It certainly appears that the original spirit of the First Amendment was that everyone should be free to engage in the religious practices that best suit them.
o stop others religious practices unless they are clearly harmful (e.g child sacrifice).

Personally I would not want anything to do with worshiping Satan, that said it not my place to try to stop you.

See this is a weird misconception. Your faith may say a pagan or a witch is "worshipping Satan".

But I have it on pretty good authority that the majority of Pagans don't worship Satan. Just as they don't worship YHWH either.

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense as a pagan, to worship a Christian deity (of either color).

No, what I don't like and find abhorrent here, is calling someone else's beliefs nonsense (think/believe what you want).

As much as I debate with Christians or others, I make it a point to not call them or their views nonsense (maybe stubborn though). As they sincerely believe it and that's fine by me.

This little bit of courtesy seems to be lost on you, though.

People are free to do and believe what they want, but not at the expense of degrading someone else (like calling their views nonsense, for instance).

So yeah... What irony? I don't see it.

I've known several pagans over the years (mostly norse). Their shard views and values don't look like Satan worship to me.

On the other hand I have read from various writings on witches (less real life contact) and it does very much look like that. Can't speak to what all believe, but if there is a notable difference it has remained hidden.

Most witches don't believe in Satan. Its hard to worship what one doesn't believe in.

It might be the publications you're reading, if you're not having a lot of contact with them. Most witches are pretty into nature.

What about their practices that you read looked like Satan worship to you?

No because:
1) is not a religion
2) they practice black magic which can be used to do harm to others
2) Most Christians practise black magic (Voodoo), and definitely harm many in the process. Not being aware that they do it, does not make it any better

So, my guess is, that you say "No" to Christianity too, right?
