One can only hope that Christina is not too offended.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Perhaps, but your struggle with Christina faces a particular challenge.

One would think that your weapon of choice would be a Spell. The problem is that, in this age of smart phones and computers, spell-checkers are ubiquitous.

You're a good friend, Hammer, and you've taught me a lot about paganism and Wicca (and your tarot card reading for me was spot on). I know it can be hard to not let the naysayers get you down, but keep in mind that you have a friend in me. Peace and love. :peace:

Thank you @Sgt. Pepper . I'm glad the tarot read was accurate. And I also hope the bindrune proves beneficial in the long run as well :)

Salam

I've never heard once of a reading that was not accurate from friends going to Tarot readers, my personal experience as well, and just never heard it ever going wrong.

This is why I invite atheists to give Tarot a chance, it will make them at least believe in the unseen. They might come with this preconception, but when it will be pinpoint accurate, they will have to wonder.

Then whether Islam or pagan or whatever, truth, they go to, can be figured out later.

At least, get the belief in unseen going. Jinn, souls, unseen, spirits existing in all things are real. Okay, next step after.

Have religious freedom? Not according to some.

"On Saturday, July 16th 2022, the Witch’s Fest event held in Astor Place, New York City (NYC), was invaded by a group of evangelical Christians who clearly believed that their religion was the only one which should be followed."

Should Witches and Pagans be Accorded Religious Freedom?

Also, something the GOP and conservatives, (maybe even the Originalists) should take note of:

"It is important to muse upon what Mr (Thomas) Jefferson had to say about the First Amendment:

“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof’, thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.”

It certainly appears that the original spirit of the First Amendment was that everyone should be free to engage in the religious practices that best suit them.

Are you surprised? The OT says such are to be executed, not "allowed to freely practice".

Luckily, the NT speaks of respect and of salvation for nay witches or wiccans who trust Jesus as Savior.

And since Christianity is about "loving thy neighbor", and superseding the OT, a little bit.

Why are those events not being interrupted by Jews? Seems like that would be more their thing, relying on the Tanakh and Talmud that the OT is ripped off from.

Most witches don't believe in Satan. Its hard to worship what one doesn't believe in.

It might be the publications you're reading, if you're not having a lot of contact with them. Most witches are pretty into nature.

What about their practices that you read looked like Satan worship to you?

I'm not recalling a lot of specifics beyond talking about Satan as a center person in their beliefs and being sort of a deity.

You haven't been reading those books on cults put out by Evangelical sources that label everything from Catholicism to Wicca as Satan worshipping cults, have you?

No, I typically put very little stock into the "that's why they are evil' approach to religions. However when I read new article of self described witches who clime to love or worship Satan I figure that is how they see things.

What you read wasn't anything most witches would recognize as valid, unless they had a Satanic bent. Most witches you are going to run across don't acknowledge Satan for either positive or negative means. Many(but not all) are polytheistic and work with pre-Christian deities.

There are some LHP witches that may honor Satan(by varying names), but it isn't the same figure as Christianity has portrayed him. I would say they are a minority overall, though, and conflating all witches with this lesser practiced path wouldn't be very accurate.

Its also possible what you read was Christian propaganda. I got some of that garbage at my doorstep in my Pagan days; material telling you(and of course providing bible verses) of all the 'proof' that what you're doing is devil worship. I would have liked to throw it in the litter box for a day or two and return it to sender, but there was no return address, so I had to settle with taking it to the dumpster.

LOL I don't store links in my head. Information yes and pretty well, but I can't pull out a link to something I read years back.
So something supposedly read years ago and of questionable origins with nothing current to support the statement. Got it.
