Indeed, I made that very point, the Catholic Herald for example don't seem to have run this story. Even the video narrating the story that the thread author linked, quoted the expert scientists involved in peer review, as urging caution before reaching any conclusion about the results claimed by this new technique, since it directly contradicts an exiting dating using an established method.

You contently accuse anyone who doesn't share your position on anything as "not having a clue", this is hardly an argument or defence of your position, merely your own subjective bias. It's also abundantly clear, to anyone who has a basic grasp of how the discourse of debate is conducted, that the person making the claim carries the burden of proof, so to speak, and moreover it is entirely incumbent upon them to clearly and accurately explain their arguments, not throw their toys right out of their pram, every time someone dares disagree with their conclusions, assertions or beliefs.

What else should one do but dismiss claims that are presented as evidence, if they fail to adhere to or even contradict known scientific facts, present weak and irrational arguments, that involve appeals to mystery, and fail to have any explanatory powers whatsoever.

They're claims and platitudes, there isn't any objective evidence in them, and again the fact you seem to genuinely believe this represents compelling objective evidence demonstrates you don't understand the difference. You don't even offer any cogent explanation of why you think these platitudes and claims represent evidence, you just present their existence as if that is all that is required, to use your own much used vernacular, you don't seem to have a clue what represent objective evidence.
