On a vaguely related note, I've just had my first taste of good quality soy sauce! Wow!!! It makes what I've had in the past seem like tasteless brown water. I wonder what else I could be missing...

I have noticed considerable variety in the quality of coffee. Most of that available to Brazilians is, alas, of inferior quality. All the good stuff goes to exports.
Red pepper sauce is if anything even more variable. But we do have some fine varieties here.
