Good sign, well done.
I met some in Indiana (not many, but some) who believe we should still be allowed to own slaves. It's so bad I'm glad it shocks me now to see it any time I'm back because I'm not used to it being everywhere and surrounded by it as a part of daily living.
Nah. There is an element that has layers beyond the words spoken, but it is definitely meant to be in opposition, and anyone who disagrees is in the wrong in their eyes, promoting what they believe to be a racist ideology that puts black people first. It’s a “dog whistle” right?
Like coded language to give oneself plausible deniability whilst actually trying to put forth hateful rhetoric.
I remember learning about that tactic in history class lol
So...a dog whistle then?Nah. There is an element that has layers beyond the words spoken, but it is definitely meant to be in opposition, and anyone who disagrees is in the wrong in their eyes, promoting what they believe to be a racist ideology that puts black people first.
It seems like you're insinuating that there's a problem here. If so, could you explain what you see is the problem?
It still points out differences in people.Honestly i do not see a problem with that sign. it is just moral rules for how to behave on the square
Or rather, it solves no problem that you care about. It still points out differences in people.
The sign solves nothing.
It's just going to incite some wacked out white supremacist out there to deface it or something and people will go into a tizzy.Or rather, it solves no problem that you care about.
In a ideal world sign like that would not be needed. But we so not live in a perfect world, so a sign is a way to keep people in line and show respect to each other. It still points out differences in people.
The sign solves nothing.
The sign was fine. Until it's prejudices surfaced by giving a special message for white people. What does this person think? In a ideal world sign like that would not be needed. But we so not live in a perfect world, so a sign is a way to keep people in line and show respect to each other.
Yes white people can be respectful too. But honestly i do understand the black community in America very wellThe sign was fine. Until it's prejudices surfaced by giving a special message for white people. What does this person think?
White people somehow can't be sensitive or respectful without a reminder?
The blatant hypocrisy comes to mind rather quick. It seems like you're insinuating that there's a problem here. If so, could you explain what you see is the problem?
What "problem" is it you think this sign "solves"?Or rather, it solves no problem that you care about.
The best way to tell these things is just reverse the message.Yes white people can be respectful too. But honestly i do understand the black community in America very well
You guys already tried that in the 50s and 60s didnt you? now white people know how the black people felt that timeThe best way to tell these things is just reverse the message.
Imagine any white person putting up a special message designating black people in a similar manner. Politely asking black people not to be savages and act like human beings in a sensitive area or space.
One could only guess the reception.
What hypocrisy? I genuinely don't see it.The blatant hypocrisy comes to mind rather quick.
I have no idea what you're talking about here.People who claim the higher ground reveal themselves to be liars when they lower themselves to the level of those whom they claim to be better than.
