Another ignorant fallacy "to talk about racism is being racist" is a common deflection that a lot of white supremacists use just like "anti-racism is anti-white" or and this is my favorite "multi-culturalism is white genocide"
Oh the logic of the supposed high IQ "master race."
Personally, if I were to assume there was a race that had a higher IQ, it isn't mine, I'm quite impressed with Asians and Jews on average more than my own ethnicity.
And my posts were not entirely off topic, because the op is about slavery, and someone brought up a point that indicated there are people who are quite fortunate that their ancestors were brought to America.
I'm saying I run into those people on a daily basis.
And since the title of this thread involves slavery, I thought it was necessary to point out that a lot of people of European descent, hundreds of thousands even, shed their blood to free the slaves.
From what I've read, America has done more than any Nation to establish equal rights.
I see Western Civilization doing a better job than anyone else at caring for the poor, providing healthcare, plumbing, shelter, food, education, and increasing the quality of life of people, including myself, who otherwise would have died off.
Which is why people are flocking to America and Europe.
I've seen a lot of slavery, hunger, oppression of women, and corrupt regimes in my lifetime, and I don't see that taking place in America and Europe. I do see it running rampant in Africa.
You can say it is off topic, but one of the topics of the original post is slavery, and stating that some people are better off as a result of their ancestors being brought to America is quite applicable, but something few people dare to say, due to the political correctness that runs rampant in our culture. Yet it is an obvious fact to anyone who has studied the poverty, the war, the corrupt regimes, the water scarcity, the hunger, the tribal conflicts, the slavery, the illiteracy, the bigotry, and the ignorance, that runs rampant in Africa. Europeans do not have a monopoly on slavery and bigotry, it is found in every culture.
I think that is a point worth mentioning, and is totally on topic with an issue in the original post.
