Small Government - A Trump Goal - Apparently

We Never Know

No Slack
So, let's eliminate state workers? And how exactly do you know how many in each are working versus not working?

BTW, so when the supposed "unneeded employees" get paid, where do you think their money goes"?

I worked for our local DPW for two summers while supporting my way through college, and let me just tell you I worked my butt off doing work that probably very few would want to do themselves.
Just last month I drove by state workers seal patching a 5 foot long x 3 foot wide strip of the shoulder. (Saw the finished work they all did as I went back by that evening).

There were 3 dump trucks, 3 four door pickups and 10 workers.

A private company would have sent one dump truck w/driver with the patch/seal and one pickup with two workers, tools and signs/cones.

I enjoy capitalism in a country where
interest rates are highly regulated.
It doesn't matter .. there has to be winners and losers. If you take $1, and multiply it by millions,
it becomes the wealth that those in power are using to take power away from YOU!
You are being laughed at .. thinking that you have the ability to choose in an election, but if
they don't like a candidates/ministers policy, they're out !!

It is usually the winners who are so fond of Capitalism .. the losers? Not so much.. :expressionless:

No "usury" as I understand the term.
So usury is not essential to capitalism.
Capitalism, as in modern, western democracy, relies on it .. the global financial system based on the dollar relies on it.

Look at how most of the richest got their wealth.
..by exploiting others, but you don't seem to realize.
Being "clever with money" is not clever, when it involves immoral practice .. such as paying
your workers $7 an hour, whilst paying yourself 7 million dollars a year .. and then declaring bankruptcy,
and "rinse and repeat".

It doesn't matter....
You previously indicated that it mattered.
So I addressed it.
...there has to be winners and losers.
So it is in every economic
system ever employed by man.
If you take $1, and multiply it by millions,
it becomes the wealth that those in power are using to take power away from YOU!
I don't see any of my power
being lost to millionaires.
What do you believe I'm losing?
As for capitalism's alternatives,
I see them all faring poorly
compared to me.
You are being laughed at....
That's my lot in life.
It's OK.
....thinking that you have the ability to choose in an election, but if
they don't like a candidates/ministers policy, they're out !!
We voters individually have vanishingly small power.
But Trump won because so many voters chose him.
That aggregate is power.
It is usually the winners who are so fond of Capitalism .. the losers? Not so much.. :expressionless:
Losers in the world of economics would certainly
be likely to decry the system. But I observe that
their choices in life are their problem.
Capitalism, as in modern, western democracy, relies on it .. the global financial system based on the dollar relies on it.
Better than relying upon the
N Korean Won or the Cuban Peso.
I like dollars.

Sure .. each party spews its lies through its mouthpieces, and then do what their told to
keep their privileges. :expressionless:

Right .. its always the fault of the disadvantaged, because they are lazy.
( classic divide and rule )

..by exploiting others, but you don't seem to realize.
You presume much about what I realize or don't.
Perhaps you mistake disagreement with you for error.
I observe that you're big on criticism of capitalism & me,
but low on offering anything positive.
Being "clever with money" is not clever, when it involves immoral practice .. such as paying
your workers $7 an hour, whilst paying yourself 7 million dollars a year .. and then declaring bankruptcy,
and "rinse and repeat".
You attack capitalism, but offer
silence on evil within the others.

But you're proposing no argument for a better alternative..
On the contrary .. we see that interest rates were very low for several years, when it suited them..
..but when it does NOT suit them (those with power and wealth), they increase them.

I say LEAVE THEM ALONE .. let everybody take "the hit" .. but no .. they prefer war, and making money
out of other people's misery.

Interest rates are determined to some extent by
government, & to some extent by the market.
You offer no better method.
I say LEAVE THEM ALONE .. let everybody take "the hit" .. but no .. they prefer war, and making money
out of other people's misery.
More complaining without solutions.

So far this year the US department of the interior has approved 2,790 application for permit to drill. The average time between the submission of the application and approval is 45 days. There are 6,604 permits approved and still available from the US department of the interior

"Small Government" is a talking point and buzzword used since the 80's to secretly get the masses to support corporate policies.
It has nothing to do with workers. It has everything to do with killing all regulations and corporate taxes.
The corporate agenda wouldn't be possible if they couldn't trick "common folk" into inadvertently supporting their agenda.

Drilling more oil doesn't make gas cheaper. It only enriches corporate elitists.
Why do you support that agenda?
I very much doubt that. What makes it more expensive is the extreme regulation and restrictions put on by Democrats. Maybe you should look at countries that do have their own drilled oil and look at what they pay themselves.

Like Saudi Arabia.

You don't even understand the topic. Obviously.
And here you are crying for Exxon and criticizing safety laws that keep YOUR air and water clean and pollution free-er.
You were banned here before, I wonder what it was for...

Well sometimes when you say things they're in the gray area you win or lose depending upon how other people see it my last penalty box visit was over mentioning somebody jumping out of the window after exclaiming the famous Give Me Liberty or Death quote, which actually was more of a Mandela Effect for me , since the window incident I could swear on pappys grave was taught to me in HS history class. But no one could find any such thing happening. If you must know.

Strange world isn't it?
