It's the "average girl" award.
It's very interesting to me that a guy is saying the average girl is smarter than the smartest guy. I mean... it's 100% true but wow... :beach:

I've been trained to flatter girls with regards to intelligence regardless of each girl's actual intelligence. It's indocrination at its best. Any male complete genius would know this is a good idea. It's very interesting to me that a guy is saying the average girl is smarter than the smartest guy. I mean... it's 100% true but wow... :beach:

Don't worry. She'll forget the moment she gets distracted by something shiny. You're not supposed to reveal that...

I think he was more saying that believing you're smarter than everyone else is a sickness, not actually being smart. On a serious note.
What type of person is threatened by intelligence enough to call it a sickness?
Ah, arrogance.I think he was more saying that believing you're smarter than everyone else is a sickness, not actually being smart.
Did you ever think that what you are perceiving as an attempt on someone else's part to prove they are smarter than you, is really their attempt to help you become smarter instead? I can't say that is true in all cases but it is certainly true in at least some of them.Who feels the need to be the smartest guy in the room wherver they go? I've encountered a lot of people online and offline who have this personality trait. Always gotta be smarter than the other guy. Personally, I think this is a sickness. What does everyone else think?

Beats me? Me? I normally pretend that everyone is the room is smarter... it's much more satisfying. On a serious note.

I agree. Most of the time they end up looking kind of stupid, though. My dad, who in my opinion was one brilliant man, used to say, "Nobody's smart in everything." People have their own areas of expertise. People should be content to know that they know more about some things than most other people and recognize that there are other areas in which they suck pretty bad.Who feels the need to be the smartest guy in the room wherver they go? Yes, but most of them are often not the smartest people in every room they find themselves in.Life is not fair: Some people are indeed the smartest people in the room.
Now that is really interesting! Maybe that's why people keep underestimating my brainpower! Some years ago, there was a study done, the results of which strongly suggested that when someone else is 20 or more IQ points above us, we almost always judge them to be less intelligent than us. Interesting study.
