So I have left facebook last week.

The censorship on there is just beyond what you could think of. Freedom of speech does not exist on there.
For the past few years since 2014 many of my accounts have been taken down for not using my real name and people reporting my accounts. Yes, I have lost about 20 something accounts that site. Facebook forces many to use to real name if they want to get their account back by asking for the "Government ID". I have have noticed when the people who work for fb who sends the emails that they only show their first name which is well quite odd. If fb wants us to use our real names why aren't they showing their real names? I also have been wondering that first name they show in the email is not their real name at all.
I really do hope for fb to shut down. Mark Zuckerburg deserves to have that site shut down and lose a lot money.

I have only been on Facebook marginally, anyway. it's because some members of my extended family post there, so I try to keep up with them. As to censorship, it is not a public place (as in not owned by a person, company, or corporation), so they can do what they wish. Frankly, I don't care one way or the other. I don't get why you want Facebook to shut down and put a few thousand people out on the street just to sooth your hurt feelings.

They do that to cut down on fake accounts and trolls. Twitter should take a cue from Facebook. It also has nothing to do with the government.

Because they shouldn't force people to send in their if to be able to get their account back.
