Dirty Penguin
Master Of Ceremony
I know this is an old thread....
I too am in the transition of leaving. I had two accounts both using my real name but with two different email addresses. One I used for family and close friends and other associates. The other one I used for just close associates.
They locked my original account that was obviously me with lots of pictures and memberships to different groups. I had that account for several years. When they locked it and requested government ID, credit card or some sort of ID such as a utility. I was confused. They treated me as if I were applying for an apartment or something. I left and a week or two later decided to just use my other account.
I got back in the swing of things....and just the other day they locked the account and asking for the information again. I'm sure I ticked someone off and they didn't like my opinion. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a troublemaker on FB I state an opinion and move on. I'm not argumentative or abrasive. I believe in holding a conversation or a debate using facts. But I believe even that might have been too much for some people.
So...I sent them my school ID that has minimal information. If they don't accept that then oh...well. I'll either move on to a different social media platform or not even bother.
