So what do you think of Ted Cruz?

I've read a lot of hate for him but I'm not sure why, don't know that much about him. What sets him out from your typical Republican candidate that makes him so intolerable?

Well I have quite a few friends who were slightly inconvenienced when he shut the government down. He won't get my vote, unless we're voting to send him back to Canada.

he's an oily retard who has no grasp of reality and would finish the job Dubya started of convincing the rest of the planet that Americans are nuts.

This is in the Conservative Only forum. I see that maybe one or two conservatives have responded. So if you're not a conservative, this isn't for you.

I'm undecided. But if he became the Republican nominee, I'd vote for him.
I could never vote for someone who is so out-of-touch. He seems to be guided by unrealistic ideals and his religious "awakening" too much for me to actually trust him. Same thing with Romney ... I would never vote for anyone who is that weirdly perfect.

I took your political test the other day and I have some conservative in my thought. ie I like guns.
Yeah, and I got something like 54% with the Democrats and 10% with the Socialist Party but that doesn't make me a progressive or a socialist. It just seems like the people in this thread want to pretend to be conservatives to bash Ted Cruz, when I wanted to talk to other conservatives only.

Well who is 100% conservative, and how are you gonna show it?
Do you fit the definition here?

Conservative (also called classical liberalism): Subscribing to the ideas of fiscal and social conservatism. Policies often include support for limited government, limited taxation, a balanced budget, state rights, and restrictions on abortion, same-sex marriage, social welfare, drug legalization, and public administration of services. People who find themselves in this ideology often identify with political organizations such as: The “Tea” Party, the US Republican Party, The Conservative Party (UK), The Liberal Party of Australia, and the Free Democratic Party of Germany.
