So, what does everyone do?

I currently work for a major photography company, as a temp. I work in their main lab, packaging photos, assembling items like plaques, keychains, buttons, etc., and doing data entry. It doesn't pay much, but it's a relatively stress-free job, I like most of my co-workers, and I get to look at professional photos all day long (which I like very much, as someone who appreciates good photography).

I also baby-sit a lot for people on the side, to earn extra money.

I am so jealous.

Well, I do some minor work as a statistician for an assembly plant. Nowhere near as interesting as it sounds (and it sounds dull to begin with).
I take a random sample of three little rods, take their average length, standardize em, and plot the z score. Anybody with a calculator and half a brain could do it. But I get to yell 'It's out of control', scream in a high pitched voice, and run out the plant every once and awhile, so there's that.
It only lasts for maybe a month more though.

Right now, I am loading trucks for Dollar General. But, it is becoming hell on my knees, so I am about to work for an inventory company to spare my knees, and focus more on music.

I use to work in a plant where I had to measure rods too. Small to large. The they get put into a kiln. They get transported to another factory for another procedure. The rods start of as being powder and put through the machine. I had to measure during so that the calibrations are not off. If they are, I would have to adjust the machine. I didn't like working with the big machins because that meant more powder to load into the machine. By the end of my shift, I looked like a mechanic.

I use to be a Lumper for C&S Wholesale Grocers. I loaded and unloaded the trucks that backed into the loading dock. The trucker didn't like unloading their load so they would hire Lumpers.

mrsc: "You need a lumper?"
driver: "Yeah. I gots me some Campbells soups."
mrsc: "Ok...that will be $50."
driver: "Alrighty. You assign the lumper to loads?"
mrsc: "Nope. I am the lumper."
driver: "Ya gonna unload me truck?"
mrsc: "Yup. Let me just get my forklift."
driver scratches head. 10 minutes later.
mrsc: "Alrighty. You all set. Sign here and you are set to go."
driver: "That was quick. Say? Where are the men lumpers at?"
mrsc: "Out smokin'."
driver: "So that's how it works them heres in New Yorks."
mrsc: "Huh?"
driver: "Here's a tip." You have a good day."
driver hands mrsc. $20.
mrsc: "Thanks mister. You have a nice day too."

I don't miss that job at all. I got good tips, but it was hurting my back after a while because I had to lift cases of cans and bottles and other stuff see you in grocery stores. Plus I didn't want to build any more muscles. I would like to keep my feminine figure :flirt:.

I worked for the mentally ill for 4 1/2 years. Now I work for the New York State Thruway Authority as a toll collector. I take peoples money :D

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I'm a Financial Services Specialist at a bank. Wow, that sounds boring when I write it, but it's really not!

I am a cellular phone technician. I am currently a part of a "RAT" (Repair Analysis Technician) team which analyzes early returns of newly released Nokia phones. It is a pretty interesting job.

I drive a truck all around the country. Makes it easy to stop here and there and get on to post. Also probably makes it look like I am online 24/7. :D

Ok, I'm an unemployed Ranger of Middle Earth.

The whole professions been pretty much demolished by out-sourcing.

I'm a full time comic artist. Once in awhile I will hand out and collect toll tickets and tell people where to go.

I tell people where to go all the time. But I don't get paid for it.
