I'm a full-time student and part-time IT worker at my college.

Here is a condensed version of a tech support call I took a while ago...
Me: IT&S; how can I help you?
Them: Could you help me do this thing in Microsoft Word?
Me: Sure, I'll see what I can do. (I look around in Word help files)
Them: Wait...my real problem is that my e-mail opens every time I open Microsoft Word. (They are using their school e-mail program and there is no way I can think of this would happen.)
Me: Um...I can schedule an appointment to look at that in person, if you'd like.
Them: OK. But my REAL problem is, there are two windows open on my computer screen and that's just too much for me right now. How do I close one?
Me: If you look on the top right-hand corner of the windows, there should be a minus sign, a square, and an X. Click on the X.
Them: It doesn't do anything.
Me: There may be something wrong with your computer. We can look at it during the appointment.
Them: No, I'm certain there's nothing wrong with my computer. The X just doesn't work.
Me (rather dazed): Well, let's go back to the first problem. To do that thing in Microsoft Word, first click this button...
Them (clicks): ARRRG! Now there are THREE windows open! (They then hung up.)

The odd thing is that their Word question was very reasonable and they seemed to know what they were doing with that program.

I work at KFC, where we sell lots and lots of dead chicken carcasses to lots and lots of obese northamerican citizens. It is very gross, but fortunately, I do not have to cook it... Just sell it... If they said I had to cook it, I would quit. :D

Right now I'm working as a postal supervisor in Kuwait. Before the Army called me up I was working as a cook at a seafood restaruant in San Antonio. I haven't decided yet whether or not I'm going to go back to that when I return to the States.

My title is restaurant supervisor. I don't work at present due to my hubby and myself not being together.
I do some voluntary work at a day care centre at present, serving meals for the elderly.

For the longest time I was a part time sales consultant at Radio Shack, a part time waitress, and a full time student. I was so excited when I got out of Radio Shack and got hired at Cingular Wireless. The pay was just amazing, and I quite my second job waitressing. Then the parent companies merged into AT&T Mobility last year. Our pay got cut and our quotas got increased. Now I am a part time sales rep for AT&T who is only 5hrs or so away from full time each week, a full time student, and a person hunting a second job AGIAN.:(

Someone shoot me...
unless you need help with your cell phone. I can do that before you shoot. lol.

That's too bad. AT&T truly was the worst thing to happen to Cingular. In so many aspects.

Believe it or not, from what I have observed, the employees were mainly the only ones to get shafted. AT&T did some pretty cool things for the customers. The upgrade procedure was changed so that ya'll get more money. The Service Agreement very well might become prorated in the near future instead of being at a flat rate. They made a program for customers who have a lost/ broken phone without the ability to upgrade or make an insurance claim (in my area at least.) They laxed up on a few of the contract terms, one I know of was, in the past if you changed your rate plan after 6 months they could technically extend your service agreement, although that rarely was enforced. Well thats gone. AT&T also developed a rate plan for seniors that they can get signed up for through customer service.

I am not even gonna go into the signal issues that arose after the merger. (There seems to be some kinda internal conspiracy, as it is all denied and the only change was the name and colors).

As far as the employees, other than our pay getting slashed and the quotas rising, our holidays were made to go *poof* at the end of the year if we don't take them, whereas before they rolled. Our insurance costs sky-rocketed through the roof until the union kicked in and fixed it :)fight:), thank god! And a whole lotta other little things.

If anyone needs any uncensored advice just PM me;)

I am a professional musician currently working a night shift job that gives us extra money,
and me lots of quiet hours to myself as I put together/learn/assimilate a whole new songlist
to play solo at cafes, restaurants, art openings etc. I am currently approaching pop/rock/funk/r&b etc with my own personal improvisatory edge as a jazz musician. (digital piano/voice at the moment). My goal is to move in one year to a part of the country that is warm all year, and provides the (enterainment) oportunity for me to make a living playing out 7 nights a week. currently I'm just basically preparing for that move. Hopefully someday as well I will find the right people/outlets to get my unique music teaching system out on a national level (piano/keyboards/guitar/voice). I was a professional church pianist for 10 years. It was good for me in many ways, but I would never ever do it again. Finding my own way at 40.

You've gotta find a way to let us hear some of your music!!! Theres gotta be a way you can post it to your blog link somehow. I know myspace has a way for artists to do that....

And Florida seems to be a good place for all that. My boss in in a band and so some of my friends from High School. They do pretty well with it:)

I'm a professor of philosophy and religion, I know that sounds like an oxymoron but thats how it works here in most of Asia as philosophy is the basis for most Eastern religions. I teach advance philosophy of religion, Chinese philosophy, Japanese philosophy, Zen philosophy, Western philosophy, Epistemology, all Buddhist studies (most of my students in this course are monks) and last but not least medical ethics.

I currently work for a major photography company, as a temp. I work in their main lab, packaging photos, assembling items like plaques, keychains, buttons, etc., and doing data entry. It doesn't pay much, but it's a relatively stress-free job, I like most of my co-workers, and I get to look at professional photos all day long (which I like very much, as someone who appreciates good photography).

I also baby-sit a lot for people on the side, to earn extra money.
