At the moment, I'm working for a consultant company doing data entry. My goal was to get into a full-time position at our client and go back to school and get my bacholers, but I don't think that's in the cards anytime soon. Nor do I feel the want to do so anymore.

Currently, my good friend and I are in the process of taking over my late cousin's concrete pumping business. Right now I am feeling that this would be a more beneficial and rewarding career than working for pharmaceutical/health care industries (which I thoroughly despise).

If I had a choice, I'd be a rock star (I play guitar). I love playing music.

Wise choice. When I was in my 20th year of teaching (a while back) my nephew got his first full time job in computer programming at a higher salary than I was making at the time.

Maybe, but I'd be happier teaching than coding. If I can ever afford to retrain and to absorb the pay cut (which isn't impossible if the company does well - we floated on the stock market not so long back and I'm one of only two 'founding members' of the company still employed here) then I will. And I promise, I won't look back even for a second.

A teacher?:cover: Are you sure ? I would have agreed with you thirty years ago, but now ?...Teachers have to be "squeaky clean" and can't afford to be alone with just one child - I have a feeling I would spend more time watching my back than in helping children learn.

Im studying electrical engineering...

I'm a former electrical engineering student then i shifted to IT field because it's more interesting than being a walking calculator. :D kidding.

I'm a full student now in IT as i said and hopefully within one and a half year i'll graduate and work for a good company before starting my own business later on in IT (especially networking) "God willing".

i am looking forward to working with local children after graduating, and have put in resumes to a number of organizations near by. God willing i can find good work. it will not pay much, but it is what i want to do, and there's a need for it.

I have decided to go to school for computer software programming. I'll probably start writing small programs again, and sell them locally. I made a decent amount of money doing that in high school.

Nothing right now. I do have a degree in accounting, but I can't say I really enjoy it. I think I'm going to go back to school, but I have so many interests, I have no idea what I'd go back for. Anybody have any ideas on how I could make a history degree useful (other than teaching)? I really enjoy learning and talking about history.

Writing a history column for a local newspaper? You could try writing an interest piece up on local history and submit it to some of your area newspapers.

Working in a local history museum?
