So you feel better when you are told false things that you then believe? Explain.
I don't see how a rational mind can enjoy such a thing as being taken advantage of by others.

It would be a stretch to doubt evolution back in 1970. Now that we are at 2024, it is just pointless.
I wish people would stop going on as though the question of evolution is contested or that there is some debate about it to be had
If you deny evolution through natural selection then you are denying reality and deserve to be treated as though you are denying reality

If that is true (arguable), it may just have turned up that way. There isn't a clear correlation, let alone causation.

My question has to do with the rise of intelligent life on this planet via "evolution," that also, oddly, connects with the identical picture we have of "intelligent life" from other worlds.

Some of it is too brief, misleading dialogue, and the wording is not the best, but OK for the basic level of the evolution of the history of life.
From the perspective of those that are intentional ignorant of all the sciences intimately related to sciences of evolution.
98% of all scientists, and ALL the major academic universities of the world support the sciences of evolution.
What is your academic background in the sciences that makes you qualified to consider the sciences of evolution unbelievable?
I smell an ancient tribal religious agenda is your motivation here.
