Well, this kind of stuff goes on in cult like environments... where people are not allowed to question religion or authority.

Its not just the Baptists.. Its it more prevalent in fundamentalist churches because congregants have to shut down their brains to be accepted into the community.

Sadly, this also goes on in closed Jewish communities ..
