I believe if the words are not coming from God then it is a fake.

How does one determine if the words are from God?

I believe I used to work in a mental hospital and my building housed a ward. I had visits from patients at times and not one of them spoke in tongues although I can see why sometimes spiritual things can be mentally challenging especially for a non-believer.

And perceiving mental illness as such
can be difficult for a believer.

I personally believe it is real but most people who claim to do it are not really doing it. I believe it is the language of angels, the language spoken in Eden and what was written on the wall that Belshazzar needed Daniel to interpret in Daniel 5. It is the Enochian language. It was the language of the world before our world was made.
