I’m against encouraging laziness, in a sense. A plaque is simply no substitute for actually learning something. You oppose having info actually at the sites?
Available only by going elsewhere?
Very strange.
I'm more into immediate gratification.
Also immediate gratification? My Scottish friend, everyone alive has literal instantaneous access to the world of information at their fingertips, 24/7. Google isn’t a multibillion dollar company for nothing.
If one was genuinely curious to learn about statues or houses or historic sites or whatever, they could just Google it in seconds and actually learn something. Rather than being spoon fed limited info on a plaque that contains at best a line or two about a multi faceted and complex item.
And y’all call us younguns lazy, sheesh!
Besides I’m pretty sure most things historic come with either a plaque or a tour guide anyway.
