You like to keep score? Compare our score to any European country, and remember, we have 320 million people.
That comment is really daft.
Europe was behind China.
America id 5-7 weeks behind Europe.

Do you pay any attention to news reports? ADD, possibly?

Viruses in general tend disappear in warmer weather, that is why colds and flu exist primarily in winter. So, unless this virus is super radically different from others, one could say that the warmer weather will slow it down, or eliminate it.
One could not say that. Our Chief Medical and Science Officers HOPE for that.
Don't pretend you're an expert........ you might look silly.

Thank you for the time and effort in compiling this. It does not compare well to those places that are doing much better, including Taiwan and Singapore, not to mention Hong Kong. They took swift and decisive action early -- for the simple reason that they all remembered the lessons of SARS.

I'd expect some indecision, waffling, & calming untruths, & even over-reaction
to an unprecedented (in our lifetimes) disease outbreak. I"m not saying that
he handled it competently (although I saw room for improvement), but those
accusing him of incompetence haven't made a good non-partisan case.
I think, you know (as @Augustus is saying) that there are times when leaders -- in a calm but serious tone -- tell people the truths they need to hear, and the advice that they need to lessen the damage.

And it is clear to me that Trump put that off as long as he could, and in fact was deliberately dismissive of those truths and that advice in the early going, when it would (as can be seen in Taiwan and Singapore) have done the most good.

I very honestly do not see that as good leadership.

Dec. 10th 2019. first case in China.
Jan. 21st 2020. First case in USA.
I'd expect China to be first.
But I asked the badger about Ameristan vs Europistan.
I wondered cuz I wouldn't expect the former to have
much less traffic from China than the latter.

This is why your Orange fear/hate monger keeps calling it the Chinese virus.
Trump gave his reason for calling it that as countering
China's claim that Ameristan gave them the virus.
That makes more sense than your claim.

Since the outbreak of 2019-nCoV spread in the United States, some media like CNN has published a number of news attacking Trump’s efforts to contain the outbreak of virus. These news has caused unnecessary panic in America. And now, these reports gave China the perfect opportunity to attack the United States.
As we know, CNN has completely ignored the efforts of President Trump to contain the outbreak of virus. In recent days, they have reported extensively on various message from the CDC attacking the government for doing nothing. But now, these large-scale reports have caught China’s attention. On March 12, the spokesman of Chinese Foreign Ministry posted 5 messages on Twitter, he suspected the U.S military brought the virus to Wuhan. Now they have a lot of evidence, CNN helped them!

How's the Russian weather, Mr. Putin?

The idiot called it a hoax and claimed it would miraculously disappear overnight. Anyone who doesn't realize that was a completely lame response to a very real threat is an idiot as well.

Based upon the expanding knowledge of the disease, his comments are appropriate. I note that you omitted the China travel ban, that when implemented folks like you said he was over reacting and being xenophobic. That action significantly reduced infections and deaths, Why did you leave that out?

Bootlickers, is a dumb moron phrase, I see you now more clearly.

There are good public policies and there are bad public policies. Do nothing while claiming there's nothing to worry about was very bad public policy in this case. Many people may actually die as a result of Trumps lack of action or incompetence at actually doing the job of governing.

I bet you were in love with the boy wonder also: Bush declared four days after the storm, “I don’t think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees” Except every expert who was shouting it at the time!

It's not surprising people who hate government and everything government stands for do a horrific job governing when it matters. I am not surprised Trump dropped the ball when it really mattered. People who hate science are not good at it. People who think experts are stupid make HUGE mistakes. It's just common sense causality. If you think doctors are stupid and ignore their advice at some point it will bite you when it really matters.

I am interested in seeing what happens in red states with this pandemic. People continue to think it's just a made up left wing conspiracy to make Trump look bad. It may turn out really ugly. In a town in Washington state I just read they are converting a soccer field into a field hospital so they can isolate patients who have the virus. I'm not sure the rest of the country is at the point of turning soccer fields into field hospitals!

I know most won't watch...but if you still believe Trump is a great president, do, please.

The video was spot on!!! Everything the kid said in the second half is right on. The Trump quote around the 5:30 mark just makes me so angry when people defend this guy as being a great president. Trump may be the worse president in my lifetime. Sometimes it seems to me he's doing all the bad stuff on purpose!

This is the guy who killed off the specialized epidemic aid teams, and as much scientific research as he could, and wouldn't know his left hand from his right on a good day, and has never disclosed his actual financial position and is remarked around the world as an unparalleled supplier of male cattle dung?

Thanks for the tip ─ I'd never have guessed.

He has a contract with a hotel in Istanbul where he receives a couple of million dollar for the Trump name every year (if we had his taxes we would know for sure!). The story is the president of Turkey used this to leverage Trump in withdrawing troops from northern Iraq. I'm a pacifist so I love it when I hear the word "withdrawal" next to the word "troops". But if a foreign policy was done simply for his own personal financial benefit I think this crosses the line with some kind of ethical behavior when it comes to presidents!

People on the left started criticizing Fox News and OAN as being unabashed propaganda and fake news. As usual the right wingers flip it around and accuse the left the exactly what the right is being accused of. But at some point, reality has to matter. How can the content of my previous post be fake news if I am quoting Trump directly? It's not fake news if its documentary evidence. Trump made these quotes. It would be fake news if it were shown the quotes were made up and not actually made by Trump.

Documentary evidence - Wikipedia

As you all probably know propaganda education as been a personal mission of mine. The only way you can defend yourself from the propaganda is to be aware of its existence. Modern propaganda is designed to use "hook" statements to get a person infuriated. Once a person is enraged and emotional, the brainwashing begins by telling the person what and how to think. Later on after the person's emotions calm down the next time they have an idea they echo or regurgitated the propaganda thinking it is their own idea or conclusion. But it's not! Another important tactic is to use a half-truth in the telling. This way the other half that is part of the programming is consider to be absolutely true when it is just made up BS. This is the true essence of fake news. It's very well documented in this video:

At the 6:35 mark in the film they talk about political propaganda and fake news.

I am not delusional and think the left is any better than the right. CNN and MS-NBC use the same "hook" techniques. The thing is many times I see MS-NBC interview a health care worker who says there is a shortage of PPEs and it's going to be crisis. When multiple people in the healthcare field are all saying the same thing I tend to lean the shortage of PPE is not fake news. People being interviewed, direct commentary, public quotes by government officials, these are not fake.

There a big difference between fact and opinion. You may think Hillary Clinton is a despicable criminal. But until she's indicted, convicted, and serving prison time she is not a criminal. At some point real facts have to be part of the political equation. Unless we can start agreeing on what is real and what is fake this country is doomed to death and failure.

"foreign policy was done simply for his own personal financial benefit" ─ Funny how the stories refuse to go away ─ why, even in the Ukraine it's said ... though to be fair, that was "personal political benefit" using US money.

Still, that doesn't mean that the virus arrived in Europe before Ameristan.
It's possible (likely) that it arrived at the same time, but differences in how
populations behave resulted in more rapid spread on your side of the pond.
