Supreme Court Upholds Affordable Care Act

Is there something about the “universal” part of universal healthcare that you don’t understand?
Yea.

Why do people have the inability for proper foresight, proper risk assessment, proper testing, and proper implementation of something that ought to work....

....properly.

I never understood it. I still don’t fully understand it except that having lost my job and benefits last year due to covid this was the only way I could get health coverage. And still it’s $163/month, which is difficult.

Women also pay for prostate exams.
The collective participation makes it easier on all. And you don't want things to potentially get harder with insurance, because when someone takes an inch from insurance then insurance will take miles from patients and providers. Give them wiggle room, and they'll create an entire galaxy of loopholes.
Yes the whole point about insurance is that it is collective pooling of risk. You do not want people whining that they have to pay for someone who has got diabetes through being a greedy pig, or who got head injures from riding a motorbike carelessly. Once you start nickel and diming it, you lose the whole benefit of the principle of insurance.

To all those Democrats that feared President Trumps appointments to the Supreme Court would result in rulings that would be far right, it appers you have been wrong.

I suggest it is all the right wing extremists who believed trump's far right appointees would lead to overturning loads of established laws are wrong as well,

Both the fears of the left and hopes of the right were wrong - that's the balanced way of putting it.

We'll see when the real issue of abortion and the ability of religion to take precedence over civil society cases are decided.

Because people like you vote Republican. Which is the same thing as voting for corporations protecting their price-gouging scheme.
You still don't realize a Republican vote is a vote against middle class policy?

Have you forgotten Clinton signed NAFTA? Like it or not, neither party is for the working class.

As long as the mandate stays dead....
As long as it isn't forced on those who don't want it.

Like pregnancy insurance coverage for men.

That was what was wrong about it in the first place. Hence the mandate.

Do it right this time and I'll be a fan.

Well, your GreatOrangeGod had four years and a Congressional majority to "Do it right". He said it was going to be easy, remember?

In any case, why would you be glad that deadbeats can continue to be deadbeats? Why would you be glad that your taxes are higher than they would be if the mandate were still in force?

Who do you think pays when those deadbeats fall off their 4x4s and go to the ER and then are admitted for two or three days?

Who do you think pays when those deadbeats show up at the hospital on the verge of popping out kid number 7?

If you think the hospitals are eating all those losses, you are very naive.

If you are referring to the people who drafted ACA? I'd say they did do it properly. So properly that it withstood the scrutiny of several Ultra RightWing Judges.

I was temporarily out of work before ACA was passed. My COBRA (continuation of my coverage) costs were much higher than $163/month.

As we can see, it worked out beautifully. Didn't it?

If you had any idea what profits healthcare makes.....

I don't see the Democrats helping out the common worker lately. Or am I wrong?

You're usually wrong.
What help are you concerned with?
Figuring out which party fights for higher wages for common workers?
Or which party fights to keep wages as low as possible for corporate greed?

You must mean which party is open and tells it like it is upfront , and the other party tells you what you want to hear, and then stabs you in the back behind closed and locked doors.
