Susie Wiles named as Trump's Chief of Staff

There is also Trump's threat of prosecuting
media types who offend him. That could
be quite vexing & spendy for Bezos & WaPo.

Alas, such authoritarian leanings appeal to Magas.
As I've said, one Maga I know wants Trump to send
in the military to shoot people in LGBT parades.
The lust for viengeance & violence....the disregard
constitutional rights & liberties....& utter lack of
thought to consequences. What a terrible cult, eh.

I see that kind of thing said all the time. You just have to be where they're saying it, either in real life or online.

Or on Fox... I just saw a clip where Dana Perino referenced a firing squad for Liz Cheney. In an allusion to Trump's comment? I don't know.

But they'll say (or people defending them will say) "they were just joking..." "lighten up, it was in jest..."

But that's the language of gaslighting abusers. The idea that a presidential candidate or a news talking head can talk so glibly about a firing squad, and it hardly casts a ripple because there's deluge out there already? It's surreal.

What a nice little world you live in.

It just goes to show you that Trump chooses people based on qualifications and ability and if it's a woman it's great , and not unlike other people who would rather choose people that are under qualified and only put them there just because of their skin color or gender in order to make them look superficially 'good'.

Another win win for Trump.
If only Trump was ethical and honorable. Of course one of Trump's talents is being one thing, and then also the other. He confuses people by being a trans politian. He can b both racist, and not racist. He can be a rapist, and not a rapist. He is a criminal, but not a criminal. He can be anything his followers want to see in him, and also be everything that decent people find unacceptable in a human being. He has fooled his followers, but no one else with his performance. Unfortunately more and more citizens want to be fooled.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

Wow, I am a Republican and I literally never hear this sort of talk anywhere, or any time, other than from the "left." And I use that term loosely.

Then you're not looking in the places they can easily be seen. It's that simple.

People are less attuned to hearing wrongful language
from their own tribe. As I just posted again today, one
Maga I know wants Trump to have the military shoot
people in LGBT parades. Many more want greater
immunity for cops to violate people's rights, including
summary justice, ie, beatings, shootings.

Prolly most people I associate with are Magas &/or
Republicans. (It's an engine show thing.)

What you have going there is something that is called unrealistic and most certainly alarmist catwailing.
Like the Maga screeching about Democrats
trying to assassinate Trump, eh.

Question for you...
If God spared Trump from the assassination
attempts because he's chosen to save the country,
then why did God allow the attempt in the first place?

Most of the people, but not all, that I associate with are also MAGAS or Republicans, and like I said, I literally never hear this sort of thing.

Apparently not because I literally never hear this sort of thing.

Neither does an ostrich with its head in the ground.

Lack of awareness isn't proof that a thing isn't happening.

Go online where the right-wingers hang out. It'll be an education, I promise you.

No thanks. I am not an ostrich with its head in the ground by the way. I just realize that it's easy to hide behind a keyboard. But thanks for the vote of errrrrrrrr, confidence.

Perhaps I'm more inclined to start & enter political
discussions, & inspire more candor. You're genteel
& averse to expressing strong & controversial views.

Go to some engine shows in rural OH & PA.
Tell people you voted for Harris. Criticize Trump.
Praise gay marriage, & sexual transitioning.
Be prepared to see the fetid underbelly of Magas.
See what happens.

A lot of them post using their real names. No hiding there. Nor are they inclined to hide it.

Of course if someone doesn't want to know what they're saying, it's easy enough to avoid knowing.

Like I have been saying, IN REAL LIFE, I never hear anything like what you are saying.

Regarding the Liz Cheney issue, I say many
on the left are misinterpreting Trump's remarks
as a call for violence. It was a stupid thing to
say, but not threatening.

English is not my first language, but Trump's remark could not be misinterpreted in any way.

There was bad faith in the misinterpretation.

Whether or not Wiles is a good choice or not, it's been reported that Trump has refused to sign the memorandum of understanding because he's afraid of being spied on. This means his team is not getting intelligence briefings. Back in 2000 the delay in the results meants the Bush team was not up to speed on intelligence and as a result they were not prepared for 9-11. Trump refusing to begin the transition process could put the USA in a serious security situation, not only because the team lacks intel, but who knows who is leading the national security team. Will they be professional or just a Trump loyalist? So we are already seeing a serious problem with Trump being elected withn the first week, and with him being inepy, or just not aware of his duty, or his general mental decline. Is Wiles qualiified to manage these important duties? It's the risk that will keep us all worried.

At least for now we have competent leadership for the next several months and Biden will put his national security team to work to fill in the flaws in the Trump transition. Maybe Mitch McConnell will help Biden resolve this serious threat to national security that is Trump's ineptitude.
