Well, I'm off again. I'm leaving soon to work on a movie on the other side of the country for a couple of months, which means 12 to 16 hour days, 6 or 7 day weeks and, sadly, no computers. I thought I'd revive this thread rather than start another. :)
You will be missed, Alceste. But it looks like you will have a lot of free time - can't you get an ipad or something?:D Anyway, see you when you get back from the other side of 'all over.'

Wait, can you tell us about the movie project before you go? And where you're going, and all that interesting stuff?

Ok. It is an indie film being produced in Montreal by an old friend of mine. It's his second feature. His first, I <3 doomsday (a mad genius love story), has been making the rounds of film festivals and nominated for various awards. This film is a bilingual script revolving around various characters who frequent or work in a cafe. I haven't finished reading it so I have no idea what is going to happen. My role is assisting the producer generally and helping avoid some of the sound issues he had in his first feature. Since it's an indie flick though, with a small crew, and I'll be one of very few people with experience on major features and television I'll be doing a little of everything, which is fun. Since it's a Canadian film, it's not very likely anyone here will ever see it though. :D

If possible, it would be cool if you'd post what it is and when it would be available for us to see.

A few months without popping by? You can't. D: There are Internet cafes and stuff, right? At least pop in once a month or so.

Take care, and have fun! <3

Ok, I'll keep that in mind. Post production will take at least six months after we wrap, then the festival submission thing takes more months, so I'll keep you posted. It won't be in mainstream cinemas or DVD stores unless it gets picked up by a major distributor at one of the festivals, which is a little more likely than winning the lottery, but not by much. Such is the tragic life cycle of an indie film.

If you're interested in other creative endeavours, Wampus is about to release his first iPhone game. It will be a dollar on the iPhone store in a week or two and also available on our company website for PC, Mac and Windows Mobile. I did the music. :D

Actually, I'll have my netbook, just no time. I'm not leaving for a few days yet, though. Just cutting down my online time to concentrate on the project.
