Hi. This is my first post and I was curious about something. Unfortunately one thing I have done on occassion is take the Lord's name in vain by saying "___ damnit." I feel really badly for this and I have asked for forgiveness for it and don't do it anymore. I saw this in Matthew and is spoken by Jesus:
31. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Does this mean that I cannot be forgiven for taking the Lord's name in vain, ever? I have been baptised and I know I will be forgiven for my other sins but I'm not sure if this can be forgiven if I am reading this right. It was just something really stupid I used to say when I was angry and I'm really not sure why I used that combination of words when I didn't mean to insult my Lord. What do you guys think?
