What's important to you?

Living long enough to see my kids fledge the nest.

An ideal?

Going to the UK to attempt to pull by brother in law out of his destructive funk

An object?

We have a few objects that are important, one meaningful thing is a roman pottery oil lamp with the makers thumb print impressed into the handle.

A memory?

I ain't going there on a public thread

A person?

Hubby

What do you think is worth telling about?

Again, I'm not going there on q public thread

Hey, you’re into your genealogy, huh?

I’m a 5th-cousin, twice removed, of John Glenn. And a cousin of Winston Churchill & Richard Nixon, both through the same line (they were cousins, themselves.)

Also, one of my 10th-GGrandfathers was John Endecott, governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony.
He actually persecuted and killed a couple other of my GGparents, Lawrence & Cassandra Southwick.
Yes, I am interested. But I haven't had much time to devote to it. My father was more familiar with it. He used to have family records and letters, but these were unfortunately lost. Most of the lineage I am aware of is from my father's side. He was English and I can read that. My mother's family was German, Austrian and Croatian. Records are a little bit harder for me to find and to read. But my Great, Great Grandfather on her side owned a factory and business in St. Louis. Apparently, he and his wife were wealthy. Occasionally, I see some of the artifacts of that for sale as antiques and memorabilia on eBay.

As I understand it, Daniel Boone had to preside as judge in the trial of his grandson-in-law for the killing of his son-in-law. The man was acquitted.

Daniel Boone, that is so cool.

At one time in my life I was illegally squatting on a few forested acres just outside of Santa Barbara California. Turns out the property was owned by Fess Parker, the guy who played Daniel Boone in the 60s television series.

I always thought, "Wouldn't it be it funny if Daniel Boone showed up here at my camp and had me thrown in jail for living in the woods"? :D.

Never happened though. In fact it turns out his son Eli knew I was there and he never bothered me.
Cool! I know of the show and the actor. You were living the Daniel Boone life on land owned by a Daniel Boone actor. Being a woodsman in life, Boone probably would have been good company for an adventure like that.

Tell me about him/her. :)

You can do something! Every time you work to bring joy to someone, you are doing something.

We're all in this together. Gods too.

Of?

What do you write large messages about?

Who's John Hart?
Long distance communications. Easier to see them.

John Hart was a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Cuddles but it's not my fault, she's a rescue and came with the name.

We have a cat named Swatty. Stupidest name ever(except for Stupid, which is another accidental cat name). He was a feral we never imagined would become our pet. He hung around the back door wanting food scraps, but when you put your hand out, he'd swat it.

Changed my computer wallpaper to this:

Have you got any plans in place to do this?

Hey, one of my uncles had Boone heritage.
Did you ever hear of a Blanche Boone? She was his Mother, she married a McIntyre. 1910s to early 1920’s. Pennsylvania.
(Odds are slim, but you never know.)

I know of a few of the Boones, but not many and have not heard of Blanche. Still, very cool. Through my father, I have ancestors that have been in this country long before it was one.
