The fact is the law was given until jesus came. It was to set Gods people aside from the nations and protect them if they chose to fulfil it.
The law made them all realise how imperfect and sinful they were.
Jesus death fulfilled the law and did away with it, but he introduced the "law of love" this law is recorded in matthew where jesus says that we must love 1st god with our whole heart, soul, mind and 2nd our neighbour as ourself. He then went on to say that these two principles covered everything in the mosaic law eg: if you loved your friend, brother, neighbour you wouldnt cheat on them with their partner, try to steal or murder. Etc


So while the mosaic law is not something we as christians should follow we can use it as a guide as to what god desires us to be like if we want to please him. They are good principles to keep.

But we must live by the law of love
