This article is another "only in America" occurence. Where else in the world are politicians stupid enough to bother with such a crock of nonsense?
At least Texans don't let dingos eat our babies.

(I'm correct in this....right, Angelous?)

Unfortunately he is serious:
The Flat Earth Society

That is seriously disturbing. Unfortunately the proxy server at work won't allow me to go to that site.

BTW, regarding your sig, could you let me know when they give away Windows 7 Ultimate? :p

Tis true this legislation couldn't change much, since Cdesign Proponentsists don't actually do any research. Seems like nothing more than a vote grab in a benighted religious constituency.

But they lie and call it research.

Perhaps you would be so kind as to explain why you cherry pick science?

So that they can bash the gays and still eat at Red Lobster?...Oh, wait, you said science, not bible. My bad, how about, So that they can proselytize in an arena that otherwise would disapprove of their cherry picking to bash {insert cause du jour}?

My sig is supposed to be ticker, meaning that it is supposed to tell you exactly what it is they give away each day all on it's own.

I will have to wait until about 3am EST to see if it changes on it own.
If not, It will be removed from my sig.

If astrology was core to Abrahamic faith like creationism is, then there WOULD be a huge debate about it vs. astronomy.

Science is your God, when all it can do is examine what God created.
Tis silly to say science is God.
Science is an intellectual tool...a set of defined criteria & processes.
I can't imagine worshiping a mere algorithm, even a very useful one.
Some deluded souls might elevate science to "truth", but that's their problem, not science's.

Dawkins said that he could imagine aliens designing life on earth. If he can imagine that, as a biologist then biology teachers should be able to also. Common descent is imagination as well.

Dawkins could also imagine singing lima beans, but that doesn't mean we should teach that in science class. As an evolutionary scientist, I'm sure that he would be furious that you're abusing him like that.
