Funny how quickly you flip on freedom depending on who's trampling it. Why didn't you suggest the border when you whined about **** like plastic bags? There's something called the border.
Easy fix.

A flood that only comes up halfway the levee
is better than one going over the edge.
I think all U.S. states should be bastions of rights, freedom, equality, and justice....not some trashy theocracy.I dunno about you, but I'm not keen on living in a uniform, regimented, and centralized nation where every state must answer to just one set of rules and regulations.
Sounds too much like Communist China.
No flood, but a glass full of 2 Buck Chuck.Truisms live!
Of course, one that reaches only a quarter is better again.
Or no flood at all.
Would a woman seeking an abortion be able to travel outside Texas to have it and then go back without any legal repercussions? I'm not familiar enough with the nuances of U.S. law to answer this question, but I really hope women in Texas who choose to have an abortion can still have options after the implementation of this law.
Meh...I don't see it.
If Texas suddenly decided to remove the right to vote from women, would you say they're 'technically free since they can leave if they don't like it'?
Education?
Or just body autonomy?

No, people here who want theocratic governmentMaybe we should invite the Taliban over here to set up the Islamic State of, say, Georgia. People who don't like it can leave, of course.

Of course if it were guns instead of abortion that was restricted you would be squealing a different tune.Think.
All those theists will be attracted to Texas.
That means less theists in your vicinity.
Think of it as respecting state diversity with benefits.
I live in NY.Of course if it were guns instead of abortion that was restricted you would be squealing a different tune.
Again, why not take your own advice; stop whining and just leave?I live in NY.
I'm already squealing.
Like Drinking with Bob.
God, I miss that guy.
You realize that not everyone has the means to just pack up and move, right?Yep. The ability and freedom to pack up and go live in a state that fits your political views if one desires.
No, people here who want theocratic government
imagine that it'll be their flavor of Christianity, not
some 3rd world apostasy (IMO).
Long ago, a fundie Christian friend agreed with me
on this. It's why he preferred a secular government.

Also pretty rich coming from someone who hawks war and world policing to take a 'let the fascists threatening life and liberty govern and the rest can move out if they want' stance.
They have set up a website called prolifewhistleblower where you can anonymously report someone trying to get an abortion. I guess it has been flooded with fake tips.
White, protestant, rich males, to be precise.I don't think they mean "freedom" and "autonomy" for everybody. Just those who should be classified as persons, which in conservative minds has pretty much always meant MALES.
Yep. And when that's done, the US will split. The dems get the east and the west, the reps get the south (with plenty of space since the blacks, Mexicans and women left), the Mormons get Utah and the north gets annexed by Cannukistan.Yep. The ability and freedom to pack up and go live in a state that fits your political views if one desires.
