Why don’t the democrats support positions the people want then they wouldn’t have to worry about it?

If the majority of countries don’t like their policies that’s a good indicator that they need to change their beliefs.

Key word is entrenched. You can't vote except register with the county. Elections are reported by county.

But there is nothing that makes democracy a fact like objective facts. It is a social and cultural construct.

Well America was never intended to be a democracy.

It was debated and rejected for various reasons not the least of which was that the framers of the constitution knew that people in general were too stupid to run the nation.

This is a Texas GOP platform proposal from the very right in Texas. They also want bible to be taught in public schools which clearly violates the US constitution, the renaming of schools back to confederate traitors names as well as seceding from the US. We have a problem in Texas with a stupid conservative movement. I don't see any of this getting ratified in the Texas constitution.

They would have to secede from the US if they want to violate the US Constitution. What sort of government restraints would they instill if they did secede? Minimal?
