Thank You, President Obama

The Sum of Awe

Brought to you by the moment that spacetime began.
Your cousin is right. Look no farther than FOX News, the Tea Party, etc. Any reasonable person knows you can't change 8 years of far-right mistakes over night. 80% of the problems we have now are due to the bush administration.

I never said Obama should take full credit for the capture of osama, but he can certainly take more credit than "Curious" george bush for it!

For one Obama did not kill Osama, he had part of the plan, but a small portion.... the Seal Team 6 killed him and have to live with that guilty feeling for the rest of their life that anyone gets for killing anyone.

But, there are some things Obama can take credit for killing: The economy.

Also, he even got a Global Peace Prize for supporting the kill of Osama and Somali Pirates. How does that even make sense?

They would vote for Satan if he were running against Obama.
Well, Satan is more mature & qualified.

No matter how they play it off, it gets in their crawl to have a person of color in the White House.
First, it's "craw".
Second, I know for a fact (the thought bubble over your head) that you hated Bush only cuz he's white.
And you support Obama only cuz he isn't white......well, sort of....half of him isn't white.

Fom way out here... Obama seems as good a president as you have had, in recent memory... and mine goes back over 70 years.

Yeah, well, we Americans are a peculiar lot. Can't be happy unless we're finding something to ***** about. Even make stuff up and twist stuff just to ***** about it. Can't find something in someone's professional life to ***** about?...Delve into their personal life. Can't find something there? Well just make it up. Not happy unless we're bringing someone else down, as if we can always do better.

Satan ? I suppose he'll do if one happens to be in one of those super secret societies like the Bush boys, their old withered daddy and dead grandpa Prescott, the National Socialist.

It does not matter to me if they're white or half black, I have never been fond of any U.S. president.

It just amuses me how all the rednecks got their little snouts in a scrunch having to contend with a person of color in the sacred White House.

In all seriousness, this post strikes me as outright bigotry.
The term "redneck" pretty generally refers to rural lower class white farmers. It appears
that you aren't one of them, & ought not use racially charged epithets to describe them.
Moreover, the accusation that they just don't like Obama because he's black (sort of) is
a duplicitous claim. To dislike him for being a gun grabbing socialist is a far more
common reason. Let's allow people to take their political positions without demonizing
& insulting them, eh? We can explore issues with civility & friendship.

This is the right direction to go, many heterosexual couples did much worse things than gays, it just does not make sense to continue to ban gay marriage, , it just doesn't make sense.

All derived from real observations. Living in the south, I hear what they say about Obama, words and names that cannot be quoted here. Demonize me if you want for not being part of the 'show' or for offering an opinion you don't agree with.

Of course I'm bigoted when it comes to racist rednecks. Why would that upset you ?

It's too bad that your experience has left you so bitter that you must use such language.
There is no acceptable rationale for using abusive racial epithets.
It would be offensive to paint all American Indians as drunken "injuns".
It would be offensive to call Hispanics "beaners" & "wetbacks".
And it is offensive for you to say all "rednecks" are racists.

Normally, I'd avoid making a discussion so personal, but it seems called for in this case.
We should all strive to meet the spirit of the rules....discussion should be civil & interesting.

Still that does not change my opinion about racist rednecks. I didn't claim all southern whites are rednecks. But know,

Hispanics are a people with cultures,
American Indians are a people with cultures,

but redneck is just a culture, not a people. If I was a southern white, redneck is not something I would like to be called, the same holds true for many southern whites I know.

And just because I don't go along with your 'show' does not make me bitter or any other labels you can come up with. It seems you develop none too friendly feelings for those who don't measure up to your standards.

Maybe you should ignore me.

Ignore? Hah! You don't get off that easy, bub. We both seem here to stay....& I even like you (so far).
But racist epithets have no place here, no matter what the justification.
It is not my "show", but neither is it yours to do as you please, without regard for others.
We are both guests here, in a venue provided gratis.
I suggest that you read 5-e & 5-g in the forum rules, & consider how such name calling comports with our shared goal of civil discourse.
Decry racism where you see it, but you ought to do so with fairness & civility.

Of course redneck is not a race. Neither is white, black, hispanic, native american, american indian, asian, european, african, american, canadian, mexican, etc.

Rednecks are people too. And they have a culture. They are also not confined to the South by any means.

If you go farther out, say Pakistan, you will probably find many people who find him as one of our worst in recent memory. It's all relative to which part of the globe and which people we are indiscriminately bombing at the moment.

Yeah, because Obama put us over there in the first place and tells our military to indiscriminately bomb the crap out any place they feel like lobbying a bomb at. :sarcastic

The drone program in Pakistan solely belongs to the Obama administration. Actually, add to that the weaponized drone program in a number of nations by this point.

Hm, you mean we're watching regions in a country where the leader of terrorists was found? The place where Bush didn't bother to look because he was too concerned with Saddam to bother with actually going after those really responsible for the attacks? That place? I have a hard time believing that bombs are being just tossed around indiscriminately there.
