I was a very chubby kid growing up so trying to pedal a Big Wheel only resulted in the front wheel spinning in place. For us "husky" children, the Hippity Hop was the only means of travel.

ff 13 is not ps3 exclusive, just so you know
PS3 does have the best version though. But final Fantasy was never totally a playstation only as it started on nintendo anyway :p

I always wanted a PC when my friends already had one. I compensated by buying very good pc's when I was older.

Does it seem like under a certain age all the 'toys' are computer games?(pops teeth into a glass and shakes head sadly muttering about whippersnappers)

Only because Toyworld doesn't advertise as well as it should.

I always wanted this toy that had magnetic penguins on it and they slid down slides. I don't remember the details completely, but I remember at Christmas time my sister and I were at Radio shack with my parents and we found it and we both wanted it so much... But we didn't get it. :(

I also had wanted one of those giant barbies, sort of like this:

And my mom always said "If you don't have a birthday party, you can get a giant barbie instead, because that's how much a birthday party costs." So I never had a birthday party until I was 12. I never got the giant barbie either... :(

Hey, as long as i can play ff13, i could care less if there are a few little features missing. Probably stuff i don't much care about anyway.

Sadly, Super Nintendo :( All my friends in the neighborhood had one. But not me

I was bothered by the fact that all my friends had a supernintendo and I had a megadrive.
However, in no time all my friend were playing at my house instead of the other way around.
And after Mortal Kombat I was happy I had a sega instead of nintendo..

Funny you say that. I had the only working original NES, and my friends would come over and play that too :p Skate Or Die!!! w00t! lol

But then I was also the last one to get a Playstation, and I never got a PS2 or Xbox :( Still managed to beat my friends at their own games though :p

You can get a secondhand PS2 for under a hundred dollars, and you can get a new one for not much more than that, if you don't mind satisfying childhood dreams many years too late.

Why? It has the most extensive game catalogue of any console, ever.

What sort of games are you after? I might be able to provide one or two recommendations.

It's my own fault really.. I guess..
I always loved the PS2, but had a gamecube myself (Wich was a great error. I should have bought the PS2 in the first place instead of the awefull gamecube :run:)

So after a great while I bought one to cathc up. In the meanwhile I allready had a kickass PC and a month later I had an XBOX360. The PS2 had great games, but in my own opinion, the PC and XBOX beat the thing with ease..

So.. eventually the only games I bought the PS2 for was God of War and God of War 2 wich I both bought for €10 each.
For the rest I bought some games I used to love very much, but that's just over.. So it would have been a great deal if I just stuck to the God of wars, but nooo... BBB had to buy old glory..
So now I am stuck with games like GTA, wipeout and tony hawk.. Games wich I loved in the past, but now just fill my gamescorner..

Your mum was such a meanie:eek:, for her next birthday instead of buying her a prezzie buy yourself a My Size Barbie instead. You may have to go to a special shop and pretend it's a Barbie, but it needs to be done to redress this terrible injustice. I have latent Barbie related issues myself, but this is terrible.

All I ever asked for, every single christmas, from the time I was 5 to the time I was 16 and never, ever got was a microscope set (the one that came with all the slides and stuff) and a telescope (yeah.. I really was a nerd when I was young too).

Last year, my mother bought my son both for Christmas... and he didn't even WANT them! Hasn't played with either ONCE!
