The battle of evolution vs creationism

Exactly. I'm one of the people who called him ignorant as well. Because he has admitted to me, that on the topic of evolution he stops reading information when he becomes uncomfortable with it. So we're actually talking about willful ignorance here, which is the worst kind, if you ask me.

I've called people ignorant, stupid, idiots, and many other nicely choosen words in the past, so I can't really judge anyone doing it. I'm not without sin. :D

Do you know where he made a post saying this? I'd be quite interested in reading it.

Oh boy ... it was a while back now. I think it was mostly likely in one of the evolution threads. Maybe "100 Reasons Why Evolution is Stupid" or "Creation and Evolution."

I'll try to find it. I actually couldn't believe it when I read it.

Has nothing to do with the debate.

Jesus could have won other debates, but the debate where he called the pharisees names, he lost.

Or you might not be thinking specific enough. I think you even missed the point that I responded to another poster when I said it, so you have to read it in context. You're moving the goalpost and then insult me by insinuating that I wasn't smart enough. By doing so, you lost.

Attempting to win...as did the Pharisees?

As did Jesus?

Again, you didn't see your contradiction? Or you saw it but won't try to explain what you really meant?

If the continuance of a saying is the trophy.....

And He said to His followers.....'keep my sayings'.....

Seems that win goes to the Carpenter.

And he told the opposition that they were vipers and whitewashed walls......

Name calling.....

Not good......

Name caller loses......

Jesus lost........

You can't convince me of that.
Maybe you can convince Him.....when we get there.

It occurred to me today how silly this is.

Evolution a scientific study
Creationism a philosophical study

The 2 are not even related so that they can be compared.

1)Biology Scientists need to make it clear that evolution has no bearing on the condition of God.

2)Religions need to make it clear that scientific studies are human studies.

If we want to teach both evolution and creationism they should be taught under there appropriate studies(Science or Philosophy). Evolution should never be brought up in a religious environment and Creationism should never be brought up is a scientific environment.

If Scientists and Religions make this clear we will no longer need this debate room. If Scientist just do their part we can call this room Creationism (Philosophy or Science)

I have not read any of Dawkins' works, but judging by what people have said about Dawkins and his books, this book is not about evolution, but about atheism vs theism, science vs creationism.

The God Delusion is not a textbook on evolution or on biology. He is critiquing on religious belief and on creationism, and the interaction between those who accept evolution and those who accept Genesis creation.

If you have bother to open up and read ACTUAL textbooks on evolutionary biology, there are no mentions of God, creation or religion. There are no evolution vs creationism debate; the textbooks would only focus on biology and biological mechanism for changes, focusing on genes, DNA, mutation, on physiology and anatomy, etc.

My knowledge on evolution don't hinge on what Dawkins have to say in books such as these.
