`The Biden administration is priming the press ...

Because the opposition is worthy of hating in this case. I'll go back to Romney. He wasn't worth hating.
So you vote out of hate? Campaign out of hate?
If you want to reveal your party's true nature, why not put it in the democrat campaign ads? (VOTE JOE BIDEN, BECAUSE YOU HATE DONALD TRUMP AND THOSE WHO VOTE FOR HIM!!!)
At least it would be honest.

It’s more of “VOTE JOE BIDEN, BECAUSE WE ARE THE ONLY RESPONSIBLE ADULTS LEFT, AND WE HATE HAVING MALICIOUS, SPOILED, WHINY, AND CLUELESS CHILDREN RUNNING OUR NATION.”
That would be much more honest and to the point.

This is Biden's fault? Do you think Russia and Hamas would have acted differently with Trump in office?

The bucks stops with him. And yes, Russia and Hamas DID act differently with Trump in office. They knew there would be real consequences, so they waited for someone like Biden to come along, and then they acted. If Biden sticks around and continues showing how much of a weak puppet he is, you can expect even more of our enemies to act.

Trump was by no means a peaceful president. His drone strikes in the Middle East were more extensive then Obama's and he removed a lot of the oversight for utilizing them:

He ramped up the US nuclear weapons arsenal:

As are other countries. National defense is the main purpose of the Federal government.

Are you against executive actions? If so:

Biden, so far, has signed fewer executive orders than Trump - Poynter

Has it been proven to be ineffective? What has it been ineffective for?

Executive actions are exactly what dems are accusing Trump of being a dictator for.
As for effectiveness, have you seen the streets of Texas, Arizona, and even New York? Homeless illegals all over the place. All let in by Biden and his "border czar" harris.
That's what "effectiveness" looks like under biden.

So then why is having a President struggling to publicly speak an issue for you when the alternative to Joe isn't any better and apparently Presidents capable of doing so have been in pretty short demand?

I see you're willing to overlook the fact that the guy who claimed would bring racial unity only ended up dividing the races even more with his own racist rhetoric. Same goes for the current guy in the WH who claimed he would be a unifier of the country. Not going so well, is it?

You stated that Liberals are hateful for conservatives while Trump supporters fly flags that are very hateful towards Liberals.

It might be good to consider that conservatives typically support removing rights and protections from various groups that have direct impact on folks left-leaning folks care about. Division is hard to mend with that dynamic.

Then maybe it's time to care about more important things.

Sure, let's see them run that type of ad. But it really doesn't look like the type of ad "responsible adults" would run. Not to mention the fact that the issues facing the nation over the past 4 years not being addressed doesn't indicate that responsible adults have been in charge during that time.

Then you're fine with Biden remaining your hope of defeating Trump? Sounds good to me!
Run Joe run! See Joe run (and then collapse).
See ya at Trump's next inauguration! :D
I have no specific candidate that I think has to win. The problem is that right now no matter which Democrat runs he or she will be better than Trump. It may take a long time to cure all of the faults brought on by Trump. If you are truly MAGA you have to be anti-Trump.

Actually, Trump has exhibited numerous
indicators of mental decline. I've posted
about them. Both candidates are ready
for the glue factory.

During the debate, we got to see them side-by-side.
The liberal MSM only seemed concerned about what they saw from Biden.
Their usual talking points about "Joe is just being Joe", and "He's always had a stutter", and "age is just a number" suddenly went away.

Sure, how about Camel Harris? The border czar that has failed so miserably that the border and illegal immigration is now the top non-economic problem voters care about: (second graph) Most Important Problem
Let's have her go from failed presidential primary candidate to failed border czar to POTUS candidate!
Then welcome Trump on inauguration day to reclaim his rightful place in the Oval Office.

You have to remember who is to blame for the fail of the border problem. The President is not a dictator. At least he is not supposed to be. Congress has to support him and the orange one did not want Biden being given credit for solving a problem that began under his administration.

You really should dig a bit deeper into stories. You make yourself far too easy to debunk when you approach complex problems in the way that you do.

I didn't watch the debate.
But I review speaking appearances by both.
One can't judge by a single instance.
Each could be ill or off their game.
The larger picture is that both are past
their "BEST USED BY" date.

Like? …
- Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. (That tRump promised but did nothing with)
- Increased funding for the IRS and having them audit the wealthy more and the middle class less. (That tRump opposes)
- Support for the Ukraine against the Russian invasion. (While tRump wants to hand Ukraine over to Putin)
- Improved economy, economic growth, yes, even employment rates - Even after accounting for the pandemic, Biden has overseen it all better than tRump.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2023/12/23/trump-biden-us-economy-compared/
in almost every way, the economy has improved after tRump left office and Biden took over. Oddly, the main feature that worsened was the public’s perception of the economy. (But we all know that the press is a left-wing bastion. Right?)
- Rising renewable energy production and jobs. = less dependence (and involvement) in the Middle East (protect our troops!). Yet also allowing the growth of fossil fuel companies in the short term, such that we are producing more now than any point in US history (Which also helps deflect the impact of Putin’s cutting exports of their oil). Win win.
- Saved billions of dollars by redacting tRump’s “deal” to have Air Force 1 painted more like his own private jet. (Ya’know, because tRump is a pathologically egotistical pig, and not a patriot).
- Oh did I mention that President Biden improved the Electoral Count Act, in an effort to give Treasonous scum like tRump a harder time in their attempts to over the US Constitution and our government.
- Added $billions$ for small rural farmers, while increasing USDA regulations on “big agg”.
- Incentivised microchip and superconductor production inside the US.
- Violent crime is down under Biden
- Food stamp use is down
- ………..

No, I vote out of desire to see this country not fall into authoritarianism. I hate that Trump is even remotely an option, because he's absolutely horrible for our country and the world.

The last election was basically people voting against Trump, so "vote against Trump" has already been a thing. But the democrats' true nature is just as a sane, centrist party. That's what people vote for. Their true nature is not hatred, as you imply.

And again, none of this would be necessary if republicans hadn't gone clean off the deep end. If they had anything of substance to offer, we could vote based on that. Instead, we're forced to vote based on not wanting a narcissistic conman who wants to be an authoritarian dictator and will try to make that happen, for president.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
More gaffs from Biden today:

President Biden told a room full of supporters in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Sunday that Philadelphia always got him “across the line” when he was running for the U.S. Senate. However, Biden was a U.S. Senatorfrom Delaware, not from Pennsylvania.

“Even when I was running for Senate, each time I ran – quite frankly, not a joke – Philadelphia, in particularly, got me across the line,” Biden said, eliciting applause from the audience. “No, I’m not joking.”

Not appearing to catch his mistake, Biden plowed ahead.

“No, I mean it, seriously. Organizationally and in terms of fundraising, the whole deal,” Biden said.

Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, but moved to Delaware with his family when he was 10 years old.”
Lefties probably will deny that about their brain dead president and make excuses like usual. Had a bad hair sniffing day visiting with childern or something and lost his memory from the chemicals in the hairspray.

It's probably different for different people. Anger at the political establishment, racism, being a sucker for a sales pitch, wanting someone who isn't a politician, calculating that he is the best chance to get "your values" instilled, entertainment, having someone to stick it to the wokes, just wanting to see it all burn, etc. Probably a thousand different reasons. Some good, some bad.
And for so very many, it's a big ole finger to established government. They don't care -- just shove it! It's all a joke on "them."

Polls drive me crazy. They are not predictive -- the change day by day, and anybody here with very little effort could show dozens and dozens of times the results didn't reflect the polls at all.

The problem, as I see it, is that an anonymous phone caller asking a few stock questions of somebody watching TV, or paring potatoes, or having a beer on the porch, is very, very different from a voter in the polling both having to answer the question: "This guy, or that guy? What do I know?"

Many people answer polls one way, and vote another. I've done it myself -- I'm human, and sometimes my "heart" (my intuition or perhaps my prejudices) takes control.

I think this is one of those situations -- I think, deep down, most Americans have a "feeling" about these two aged candidates. They may not always listen to the news on "the other side," but they have friends and acquaintances. They are beginning to get the message about Project 2025, they know which President has been a serial adulterer, they've seen the trials and convictions and fines, the remember Trump U, and his statements about "dictator for a day." They've listened to his nonsense -- and sure, many of them without a lot of critical sense are convinced it's brilliant.

But it all comes down -- at the end of the election -- to what they do in the polling booth. I think that in this election, perhaps more than any other election in history, the polls are going to be made to look ridiculous.

From a Facebook poster, followed by a link to coverage by the Miami Herald :

“… Oh boy. Trump’s Doral rally tonight was a doozy. Let’s recap it:

He started off by bragging about his golf course instead of apologizing for being an hour late and leaving people waiting all day under a heat advisory.

He said he didn’t know what NATO was.

He bragged that “being indicted is a lot of fun.”

He claimed “tens of thousands” of people showed up to this sad little rally. He later said “45,000 people” when it barely looked like 2k people were there.

He froze like a deer in headlights for 10 straight seconds.

He praised Laura Loomer and repeatedly called her “amazing.”

He’s mad that Kamala Harris laughs and called her “L-a-f-f-i-n’ Kamala,” proving what we already knew that bro can’t spell.

He said he wants a “no holds barred” debate without moderators this week. Essentially the two of them screaming at each other. Super dumb idea. Especially when Biden is hosting the NATO summit.

He also challenged President Biden to a golf tournament this week when President Biden is busy meeting with NATO leaders and doing his job.

He said Biden “doesn’t know what a synagogue is.”

He thinks you have to stop electric cars every hour.

He complained about the heat only 16 minutes in, when those people waited all day and he still showed up an hour late.

He said someone told him that he looks “great in a bathing suit.” Barf.

He called the fictional Hannibal Lecter “a lovely man” and compared him to immigrants.

He said migrants are “preying on everybody.”

He forgot how to say “feared” and said “field.”

He said he’d be the “greatest president that God has ever created.”

He claimed Hunter Biden is running the country.

He babbled about facelifts.

He said he was going to bring Tom Homan back into his administration, a guy who helped author Project 2025 which he claims to know nothing about.

He claimed Biden has more homes than him.

He said we’ll become “energy independent” when we already are right now.

He complained some more about the hot weather.

He asked why “sweaty” golf caddies “never touched me, never hugged me, never kissed me.”

He made fun of Chris Christie’s weight while claiming he was standing up for him. Mighty rich.

He said the U.S. is turning into “communist Cuba or socialist Venezuela.”

He struggled to pronounce some of his sycophants’ names.

He called Don Jr. “a great talent” and that he has a “great wife” even though he’s not married to Kimberly Guilfoyle.

He said how much he loves his family showing up when his wife Melania and favorite daughter Ivanka didn’t even bother going.

He said “October 7th would not have happened” if he was President.

He said Israel “had no money.”

He said “we have nuclear submarines and five warships in Cuba,” essentially calling himself a Russian.

He said Biden has abandoned Cuba when he was the one who nixed Obama’s plan to reopen trade and travel to Cuba.

He said people get “shot, mugged, raped” when visiting the Washington Monument in DC.

He said he will protect the second amendment and “innocent life” in the same breath.

He told people to “vote whenever you want.”

He played a song performed by J6 insurrectionists and people who beat up police officers.

He read his teleprompter cue to speak quickly out loud.

He said that getting rid of energy efficiency in appliances will “keep our enemies at bay.”

He called the United States of America “a third-world country” and said we’re “a joke.”

He said President Biden “isn’t legally allowed to stand trial.”

He’s claiming that the stock market is high because of MAGA winning the election in November, and that it will crash like during the Great Depression if he loses.

He said it’s “easier to get fentanyl than groceries.”

He forgot how to say the word “economy.”

He said he’d rather take money from small dollar donors instead of the wealthy.

He said they’re “going to take over our Capitol.”

He lied like he breathes.

And we all know the media won’t cover HALF of this absolute train wreck.”

And finally, I am convinced that if the Democrats replace Biden as their candidate, they will hand the election to Trump. The history of how elections work (too much detail to present here) seems to make that very clear. I suggest taking a look at what Professer Allan Lichtman has to say on that subject.

There are probably a thousand reasons for that: "are we being conned?" "who is (s)he?" "they're bypassing Harris (or X or Y)" and who knows how many more.

I do not think that Trump will win because voters prefer him, but because they'll refuse to vote for somebody new thrust upon them, while not wanting to vote for the outsider Kennedy. Thus, Trump wins by default -- which is not only a horrible way to win, but a horrible reason to surrender your democracy!

And yet this president did play dictator by implementing that failed immigration plan that Congress (the democratically elected representatives of the people) did not approve. Same goes for "forgiving" student loans which the SCOTUS twice told him he's not allowed to do.
