The BNP (British National Party)

Heres the reason why people are looking toward the BNP. to even mention race here makes you a bad guy so the government decided to use "multiculturalism" as a trump card. the thing is a lot of people are scared to death of multi culturalism and the BNP are the only people that are addressing it.

Labour wanted mass immigration to make UK more multicultural, says former adviser - Telegraph

Immigration under Labour has soared eight-fold compared with the last decade of Tory rule, it emerged last night.
The astonishing impact of the Government's controversial 'open door' policy is revealed for the first time in a study by the independent House of Commons Library.
Between 1997 and 2006, the population increased by 1,196,000 as a direct result of immigration - the equivalent of almost 330 extra people arriving each day.

the government have been trying to socially engineer our society for political gain and a consequence of this is a widespread unease from people who turn to the BNP because no one else will even talk about it. Now its out in the open maybe we can get some dialogue going without the cry of racist every time someone mentions immigration control.

To be honest, though my parents were immigrants into this country, I think the borders need to be HEAVILY controlled. I am seeing million of bums coming here to be builders and to work in newsagents. In a country that has a recession on a whole new level, it doesen't seem the best thing to do.

I agree with some points that the borders need to controlled, NOT shut. Except for that, criminally insane.

I agree this man is a sandwich short of a picnic Don but the shenanigans that have been going on with immigration has fueled his fire.
Less than the facts about immigration, the hysteria of the right wing press, and the straightforward trash that people perpetuate about immigration is what is fueling this. For 95% of us immigration has had few negative effects, but the man on the street will talk his rubbish regardless.

Why?

People spouting about racism are talking trash nine times out of ten. The fact that immigrants are coming into the country shouldn't be a grievance.

Because the fact is, it is a grievance and if the government cant be trusted to be honest about it, groups like the BNP get to glean some credibility from the fiargo of twisted fact. If it wasn't a grievance they wouldn't be even heard of because they are a one trick horse.

If only the government was more strict when it came to letting people in the racists wouldn't vote BNP. They'd vote Labour.

i am not concerned with racists what does concern me is the guy in the street that believes its a problem and the government are sidestepping his concerns and sees nowhere else to turn and votes BNP as a protest vote.

Aye, that guy, so furious about immigration he has forgotten about the illegal war Labour gave us, the stealth privatisation of public services, the complete betrayal of the party's principles in favour of election winning strategy, the spin, the lies, and the complete incompetency. Protest vote my arse. It's about wanting to keep foriegners out.

A couple of years ago the entire BNP membership was put up on the web.
it was downloaded many times before it was removed. It made interesting reading.
It was easily searched from a spread sheet.

Home Secretary calls for more debate on UK immigration

Alan Johnson is ready to answer the important questions on UK immigration that may have gone unanswered in the past.
In order to limit the influence of far right anti-immigration organisations like the BNP, the UK government needs to engage in open discussion about UK immigration, says Home Secretary Alan Johnson.

Johnson says that more "rational" debate on immigration, which he says is “a major public concern”, may help to reduce the impact the far right has on general public opinion about immigrants in the UK.

Thats what we need frank and open discussion in order to limit influence of the likes of the BNP. Without i might add the discussion stopper of "rascist" thrown in anytime someone mentions their concern over it.

I am afraid that the majority of the UK (stupid idiots) will elect these ***** into power. If only they were made illegal...
But most of the British people would never vote BNP to let this happen. What you fear is one thing; but reality is quite different to what you fear.

Besides, you can't have them banned because it would be against the spirit of free speech and democracy in this country.

To be fair, I was quite young from where you've quoted me. It's an impossibility for such a far right party to win even a couple of seats in our parliament. Our values are far too strong for that.
