Actually, yes it does. The size of the tide varies in the course of a month, which shows that the major component of the tides is due to the gravitational pull of the moon. It is actually the *difference* between the force of the Earth as a whole and the force on the water, so the tides tend to be large in the direction of the moon.
There is also a solar components to this.
As usual - and try to remember this when you´re replying - I of course don´t deny factual observations.

What I question is which forces are at play and it´s NOT *Newton´s occult force*.

It is:

1) The Earth rotation.
2) A constant pressure on the Earth from its orbital motion, the *Solar component*
3) A shaded pressure from the Moon when this is in front of the Earth on its orbital plane.
4) A constant pressure on the Earth atmosphere.
5) A constant pressure on the Earth oceans.
6) Pressurized tidal waves wich acts according to the Earth continents and islands.
7) Pressure governing the Coriolis wind pattern on both hemispheres.

The tidal waves and different local heights comes naturally as the oceans are pressed towards different land masses, just like strong wind can give local high sea levels.

And you can also forget the *frame-dragging* nonsense. The Earth increasing motion away from the Sun is natural as the Earth is formed from the Sun, and the Moon increasing motion away from the Earth comes naturally as the Moon is formed from the Earth when this was molten hot, hence it´s locked orbital motion.

If you like more pressures, you can add the pressure from the galactic center from where, everyting is formatted and pressed out in the galactic surroundings. Wich of course fits the *galactic rotation curve*.
