The earth is 13,000 years old and it is soon to be renewed when Christ comes

Arlan, I read ALL posts, if I feel inclined to respond, I do, otherwise I move on.

You posted your views, based on a few books, which I know are false teachings, so I saw no reason to comment, yet I did give a general comment, which the last few pages made me think of...

I will answer FFH in BLUE
Has anyone ever noticed that when you get a biblebusting Christan in a corner and when they CAN NOT answer your questions many stick their thumb in their mouth and fad away and then there are others that just grab their bibles and tear out pages and throw scripture at you like arrows that will keep you away.

Archaeology is "false teachings" when it proves the scriptures are wrong.

This gives you an idea of the dimmensions of the city, the New Jerusalem, as found in Revelation.

1300 miles square and 1300 miles high
new-jerusalem-usa.jpg

Rev. 21: 16
And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

LDS Articles of Faith 1: 10
We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
HA! Now I know it is wishful thinking.
Indiana is included....

Sounds like a joke. Do you have proof?
According to LDS doctrine, the Garden of Eden was centered in Missouri, and according to LDS doctrine, the New Jerusalem will be built with Missouri as the center point.

The New Jerusalem (Zion) was supposed to be physically built by the early LDS pioneers, while they were in Missouri, but that commandment was revoked, by the Lord. The early LDS pioneers were then driven west to Salt Lake City, Utah, by the Lord, where the New Jerusalem (Zion) was physically built up from that point. and has spread throughout the world, in the form of LDS Wards and Stakes (groups of LDS members and churches).

The New Jerusalem (Zion) has been firmly established throughout the world, but there will also be a New Jerusalem (Zion), which will be built by God, which will descend out of heaven and rest on the earth, with Missouri as the center point.

The city of Enoch was taken into heaven, as a type and shadow of things to come. Just as the city of Enoch was taken into heaven, so shall the New Jerusalem descend out of heaven.

Read this chapter...

Moses 7: 19, 63
19 And Enoch continued his preaching in righteousness unto the people of God. And it came to pass in his days, that he built a city that was called the City of Holiness, even Zion. • • •
63 And the Lord said unto Enoch: Then shalt thou and all thy city meet them there, and we will receive them into our bosom, and they shall see us; and we will fall upon their necks, and they shall fall upon our necks, and we will kiss each other;

In this illustration below, move the square up a bit, with Missouri as the center point, where Christ will rule and reign, and you will have an idea of what is to come, also eliminate the sea, which Revelation 21 speaks of.

Revelation 21: 1
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

So then the Mormons don't want to be in Zion then?
The LDS Holy of holies won't be there?

There will be radical changes, things will not continue on as we are currently eperiencing it today, in this mortal world. It will become an immortal world, no death, pain, sorrow, sin, etc. All things will be done away and all things wlll be made knew again by Christ.

This world will be a paradise, with a city built by God, acting as the center of it, with Christ as the head. There will be no more need to physically build, mainain, repair, plant, sow, etc. with our own hands.

The Millenial reign of Christ is a time of rest from all our hard physical labors. Hard physical labor will be a thing of the past, just as it was in the Garden of Eden, so shall it be again.

Because of Adam and Eve's sin the world was cursed and we were then required to labor with our own hands for our food and shelter. That curse will be reversed during the Millenial reign of Christ and throughout eternity.

There will be a massive miraculous/supernatural restoration and relocation process...:(

Sounds boring. I like growing my own food and producing my own goods when I can.
Or is that how you rebel in heaven? A little garden of your own.

So what happens to the rest of the world?
Those who are "Christ's at his coming" will be resurrected and receive their immortal bodies (bodies that will not grow old, die or be subject to disease, sickness, etc).

They will live on this earth. If they are living a Telestial or Celestial law (see LDS doctrine).

Those who are living a Telestial law or below, are not "Christ's at his coming" and will be seperated from their mortal bodies and live as spirits for 1000 years in the earth.

Hell is at the center of this earth, with varying degrees of hell extendeing out from there. All these spirits who were not Christ's at his coming will live as spirits in these varying degrees of hell for 1000 years. At the end of this 1000 year period, they will be redeemed from their varying degrees of torment to be reunited with their bodies, at which time they will also receive immortal bodies, and will receive a "degree of glory" in the Telestial world. All those not worthy of a Telestial degree of reward/glory, will be sent to "Outer Darkness" after they are redeemed from hell at the end of this 1000 year period.

Hell is an eternal place that only Satan and his angels will live in forever, according to LDS doctrine, although Outer Darkness is a type of punishment or hell, but it is not hell.

Depends Upon My Mood..
It must be from all those years of people saying things like: "God Bless America!"

That could be...

But I"m wondering if God blessed America only certain parts on the map are included in the new Garden of Eden?

Wouldnt it be all of America?..I didnt see like ..a LOT of states on the map of heaven..It seems to me it would at least include Hawaai!

I wonder how they are going to make all that Golden city float. Or will it just be coastal real estate for the heavenly elite?
