Gates of hell are entrances to a garbage dump that burns 24/7? So why would so many gates be need to this burning dump?

One was to leave the city walls.

I have no idea about the other then what was reported, which has no historicity as existing. Its a myth at this point. But one that leave the possible origins for the NT descriptions.
