The Great Deception of Christianity - Departing the Faith (the Word)

God's messenger certainly seems to think His words so important that they must always be the Last Words. I have met used car salesmen like that.

Yet it is the scriptures that teach "He that has received his testimony has set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God: for God gives not the Spirit by measure to him". Here I am sharing the Word of God with you but you do not believe them. Your response is to deny God's Word with your words which are not of God. According to the scriptures, only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow them.

I noticed that my words are constantly twisted. What we learn about the natural world is twisted to "wisdom of the world" so that it can be dismissed. As if God gave us senses to not use. A mind to not think with. And a beautiful world to ignore and learn nothing from.

I have only been honest with you Dan. There has been no twisting of your words. You have been provided God's Word and you do not believe them and you deny God's Word with your words that are not God's but yours.

Always the last word. And delivered as if it were some universal truth and not the teaching of one man. Of man.

I disagree and others have too. Sorry. It is only a truth offered to help you.

That’s because, somehow, the Bible is the very words of God written by God, and it is the ONLY revelation of God. Never mind what the Psalms say about showing the glory of God. And usually what’s written is according to the opinions of the OP.

All I hear here are empty words and accusations you cannot prove. If you deny Gods Word it is God's Word you deny. God's Word is not my words but God's Word. So we will have to agree to disagree and I will leave your claims between you and God whose very words you disagree with.

I know. I know.

I know how this works. No one is disagreeing with YOUR words. They are disagreeing with the Word of God. When cornered, that is always the answer provided.

I thank you for the display of your fruit. It has been most educational.

You have no truth in your words according to the scriptures only God's Word is true and we should beleive and follow them. You provide your own words which deny Gods' Word when only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow them.

All I hear are empty words. Where I have I read that response before. You need to write some new material.

I know God's Words are not yours. I think you established that early on to the satisfaction of everyone here but yourself.

Your welcome but thank God not me as they are His Words not mine.. :)

Quoting scripture does not make your words magically and universally true.

Hope that helps.

I am sorry Dan you have been provided the scriptures yet you do not believe them. We will have to agree to disagree. I do not see any truth in your words as you deny God's Word.

I will leave you with the last word. I know that is more important than any message that was long ago lost in the glories of YOUism.

As posted earlier, for me, he must increase and I must decrease. I only point all to the Word of God because it is there we find the one who loves us that we may love him. I know him and am known by him. All that he shows me I see and must show to all because I am blind. He tells me it is those that say they see that do not see. These are they that have once known him or do not know him. There is only life in the living Word. These are his Words and not my own. Freely I give because freely I have received. I must speak in the light and what I hear preach in the housetops. Many will not hear because they do not know Him. He is the Word of God and those that believe him are those that he has chosen. They follow him because they love him and are loved by him. Many are called but few are chosen. There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed come judgment day.

Sure it does. According to the scriptures they are not my words they are God's Word and only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow them *ROMANS 3:4. If you do not know the scriptures Dan how can you know what is true and what is not true? The simple fact is that if you do not know Gods' Word you cannot know what truth is because God's Word is the very standard of what truth is.

the “according to scripture” in your posts is in actuality “according to my take on scripture.” You can’t hide behind some ephemeral absolute when, in fact, it’s all about your interpretation. Therefore, it’s not God talking, it’s you talking. And you have 0 credibility.

Not really my friend. I believe all you have provided are your own words to deny God's Word and made claims and accusations you cannot prove from the scriptures because you do not know them. I posted earlier you are welcome to prove your claims and accusations but you cannot neither do you address the scriptures shared only in love and as a help to you that show why you are in error. God's Words are not mine but God's but you do not believe them. Zero credability in my view is in denying God's Word with your words. This is sad for you because I believe ignoring God's Words do not make them disappear.

What you believe is immaterial. There is no need for me to prove my accusations. You've already done that work for me in your own posts.

Muffled

Jesus in me
I didn't miss it at all since Paul's reference is to various roles that were, and still are, very much a part of the Church's mission and structure. At no point does Paul state nor imply that there is more than "one body", to use his own words, that are to be followed and participated in. It is this very simple fact that was partially instrumental in my abandoning the Protestant faith I grew up in after doing the research on early Christian history and reading how the Apostles and their appointees pictured the Church and its roles.

This reality also shows up rather clearly in Acts, whereas the Church is appointing successors and also moving out of eretz Israel, and also in many of the epistles whereas the importance of appointees and the congregation following them is continued. At no point is there ever a "just do your own thing" approach sanctioned.

And just a reminder that the canon of the Bible you quoted from above was actually the byproduct and selection by the Church itself. Other books by other groups were rejected.

I believe you are very misguided. I as a protestant am in the body of Christ. No church can claim to be that body . If it does it is speaking falsely.

I believe that is true but I also believe that by the leading of the Holy Spirit people can recognize when a church has become morally bankrupt and that is why the protestant movement began. The whole idea of the RCC having everything correct and everyone else is wrong is strictly egocentric and not from God.
