Is Maya considered to be a purely personal illusion (fabrication?), or can it have a collective dimension, like a shared illusion?

When I say that maya is illusory, I don't mean that what we experience is merely human imagination. Maya is Avidya (untrue knowledge). To say Maya is an illusion is is not to say it is unreal, but a that is not what it appears, it is mutable and constantly being made. It deceives the person and veils Vidya (true knowledge).

Show is but illusion. Reality is what it is, neither negative nor positive. Yeah, kaleidoscope displays are interesting.

When i saw this thread i assumed if was discussing the Maya 3D graphics animation program that you know and love the illusions it creates, including Monsters, Inc., The Matrix, Spider-Man, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Avatar, Finding Nemo, Up, Hugo, Rango, Frozen... and much more.

But i am once again wrong so I'll step out of here.

The Mayan civilization had disappeared and did not know how to practice its religious rites properly
We only know some perceptions of scientists trying to understand their habits and practices

no answer but

The presence of statues shows they fall into the trap of wanting to worship for physical objects
Therefore it is negative for me Muslim

Not just statues, but all things that other people like are prohibited in Islam, games, music, wine, films, poetry, novels, stories. Remember Allah and his Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa salaam) every moment of your life. Very focused. :clapping:

So everything is in a state of perpetual change, including our own mind?

those are accepted in islam
games, music, , films, poetry, novels, stories.

forbidden in buhhdasim and Judaism (alcohol)
wine

Islam observes the moral aspects no more

As for practices, everyone can break down barriers
I just have to alert you that this is an honorable act, an immoral and dishonest act.
who does good will find it, and who does evil will find it
I mean, I am not a tool to hold people accountable and censored
I am on the process of educating and expressing opinions as a consultant

I am for communication and clarification, then for (GOD) Allah to hold you accountable for what you have done :)

No, they are not, they are an abomination if you do not remember Allah and his Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa salaam) every moment of your life. No beautification of the body for men or women. There are umpteen fatāwā all over the world and internet on that. Do you comb your hair? What is the need? You could spend that time in remembering Allah and probably gain his mercy.

Mine too. Maya, in one take, simply means temporal, whereas ultimate reality is permanent.

impermanence is eternal. yin and yang. the dao that can be defined is not the eternal dao.

maya and lila are eternal. shiva is down at studio 54 still grooving

everything vibrates = string theory
