Yeah, but only that one time. All other times have been the Ibis-Headed Thoth.Thoth appeared to you in his baboon form? Very interesting. He has only appeared to me in his ibis-headed form.
*For me*When you say "made an appearance", do you mean you actually physically saw these gods?

This is yet another reason that one must believe the ancient texts. Who could possibly make a story like that up? Nowadays, maybe. Thousands of years ago though? The Contendings are quite humorous at best, that part where Set tries to dominate Heru-sa-Aset, and then Aset tricks Set into eating Heru's sperm, LOL. Tell me the ancient Egyptians weren't creative with this stuff.

I hope that as a Seeker, it is okay if I ask you all some questions - I'm absolutely facinated at the moment!
I love ancient Egyptian mythology but in college studies it was only ever presented in a way that would lead one to assume the religion was dead. To hear you speak of this religion not only still existing but having personal interactions with your dieties, is amazing. Please don't take offense to my initial reference to Kemeticism as mythology - that is the only way I've ever understood it and I feel another part of my mind has suddenly opened in reading this thread.
Would you please share your experiences with how you came to this belief? Were you seeking or did your god(s) seek you? What messages did you take away leading you to find solace and truth on this path?
For those of you who aren't familiar with myself (I'm very new to this site), I was brought up in a basic Christian home without any explanations for why we were to hold the beliefs we did. Never in all of my time have I had an experience of God, as a Christian or as a seeker, and am looking for that sort of personal relationship.
Whatever you are willing to share, I'd love to hear. Thanks!

How have you come to know them? I've never had this experience and am confused by it when Christians use this wording also. Is it through meditation and prayer - actually receiving messages that you know are separate from your own conscience?
I myself am not a Kemetic, but the Egyptian gods/goddess have played a (big) roll in my path forging. My first experience was my sitting and Meditating and Thoth appeared to me, in this vision he looked fully real, I have really no way to explain it . Set I have felt the presences of but have never seen him, though I know what he looks like. Sekhmet though, not only have a seen her in Dreams and felt her presences during rituals, but she has been a teacher to me on and off for the last 3-4 years, giving me room when I need it. As of today she help me out with the crap going on at work. And thank Her greatly for it.I hope that as a Seeker, it is okay if I ask you all some questions - I'm absolutely facinated at the moment!
