A great many losing posts between the question and this answer: Official Chinese Yang short form. A lot of winning balls are held in every class.

I won't get to his level but that's the form:

That is Liang Shouyu he is very good and he is in Vancouver, I trained with some some of his Xingyiquan folks, they too are quite good. Was going to train with one of his Baguazhang students, but I didn't have the time to travel that far regularly.

I teach that form and the traditional Yang style forms and weapons, I am in the Tung Ying Chieh Lineage. He was my teacher'e teacher. I learned 24 form from someone other than my Yang teacher.

This guy is my Shigong (Teacher's teacher)

We have an authentic "small world" event here.

The class I'm in is emphasizing health and balance (most of us are at an age when balance must be practiced). The martial aspects are merely touched on in passing.

The martial aspect is touch on in passing by most. The majority of my students don't want to know about it and some have no idea that aspect exists. I was trained it and I will show anyone who wants to learn it, but vey few do, and I don't force it on anyone. This last group of 9 only 2 were interested and only 1 actually wanted to learn it. Interestingly enough the guy in his 50s just waned to know about it the woman in her 70s wanted to learn it. I still meet with my Shifu once a month so he can throw me around... and he is half my size and close to 80.

My teacher is a retired M. D. who freely mixes Eastern and Western terminology and, amongst other things, talks about Chi flowing in the body using Western medical terms for the location of the meridians.

My teacher is also a retired doctor, however he grew up in Hong Kong and learned Taiji there too. But we also have occasional medical discussions and on occasion how that applies to Taijiquan.

If you have not read this already you may enjoy the book "The Root of Chinese Qigong: Secrets of Health, Longevity, & Enlightenment by Yang Jwing Ming"

Well, some thief and ninja you are! Can't find something of your own, but you can pilfer other people's stuff? And you think you can do that undetected when you're clomping around in those huge, heavy boots...
