I'm stealing that to use on anyone and everyone who doubts me when I tell them they don't want to get rid of Trump because Pence will be worse.

But California wins because at the state level I'm untouchable to pukes like Pence. Shenanigans in DC haven't mattered as much to me ever sense Conservative legislation and narrative from there isn't effecting me at home now that home isn't Indiana. I should probably care, but I moved here to care for myself.

Only because I'm about to go make a winning amount of money for a job that requires no special training or degrees.
But it's a major loss somewhere in the economy because I just should not make more money driving people around than doing case management, and I just shouldn't ever be in a position of it being uneconomic for me to use my degree because I can make more not using it and without having the mountain range of responsibilities. Even after gas, car stuff, and my habits, I make a ridiculous amount of money doing this.

The best way to assuage guilt from too much money is to spend it.

There is no guilt. Rather, a feeling of loathing and detestment towards whatever the hell it was that made such a thing possible. I should make lots more with a degree, not so little more that it doesn't justify the added responsibilities and stress.

Just don’t be texting while you’re driving, or else you will be guilty.....and worse.

You are in the same boat as teachers. Driving people around is 50 times more important than educating the young.

Californistanian public school teachers must be really poorly paid.
Here they do very well. Elementary school teachers range from
about $50K to $72K, with lifetime free health care for their family.

Yup. And I'm not even being greedy about it. I'm not estimating my income at 8 - 10 hours every day to suck up every last dime I am, and I'm not among the caravan of Lyft/Uber drivers here who go to LA for the weekend to rake in the big bucks (some of them that do this make upwards of $60k/year).
It's a good thing when your limited to what you can do over health reasons, but seriously damn. It's just pathetic you can do this and make about the same or more than you do working with kids, teaching them academic skills or coping skills, and not only that make the money with ultra minimal demands and responsibilities. I get home from here I'm done. I get home from case management and I had to allot two hours to ensure adequate time to complete my notes.
Bull **** is this idea that hard work pays off and gets you ahead.

On average our salaries are close to the top. But compared to other highly skilled professionals, salaries lag.
