Only if your prey is not quick and agile. Things bears don't know much about, because they're bears. They are giant slabs of bone, muscle, fat, and claws, and run fast enough as it is. But wolves can dance around a bear. You, silly bear, lose at de-feeting the wolf while the wolf does winning happy dances around you.You do of course realize...being a bear...I could easily De-Feet the competition as well

Still can't catch me to de-foot me.I win...and that is all
Not to mention that the two of them look like partners going after other prey.Still can't catch me to de-foot me.
Probably not, but it's not the wolves can't beat bears, it's just wolves have wise priorities. If it's food, it's just not worth it - there's always more and wolves can cover a massive amount of ground in a day. But when it comes to pups, that is when the rage of the pack is brought down on a bear and the bear loses. Wolves just know when to fight and when to avoid them, which is wisdom. Bears are just grumpy and think their size and claws entitle them to everything, including satisfying their endless curiosities. Not to mention that the two of them look like partners going after other prey.
