This isn't a direction issue, but when we were in the car, if I asked for a soda or a snack while I was driving, it would always get handed to my head like I had a tiny arm growing out of my neck for grabbing stuff close in.

You should create a bottleneck and breed a new species of you with that adaptation. Sounds like it would be helpful.

I often get "turn right here" and when I turn right I get "why are you going this way?".

On the motorbike it would...

Karen: It's over there, I can see it
Me: Where?
Karen: I'm pointing at it.
Me: You're behind me.
Smiles for the "rabbit" menu deletion and frowns for the Guinness debacle.
Mrs Wu is very good at me telling her it is that way, pointing the direction I mean, and her looking the opposite direction

It would be more helpful if there were a secondary eye or eyes to see things near my ears. We could cause a bottleneck that spontaneously transforms all the surviving adults to express that trait. It would look like a little conjoined twin and cause really odd behavior I'm sure, but would be very functional and survival by straw man would satisfied.

A lesser angel is my Android phone which gives me directions in life that are usually good.
early in the days of GPS I had one that was trying to kill me..... It told me to take a right when I was in the middle of a bridge..... told ne once to take a left when I was in the woods...and there was no left....told me to go right in front of the biggest oak tree I have ever seen.....

I had one that told me to take a right turn, drive through a parked car, down a grassy hill through another parked car and then make a turn.

They're better now but still I don't really trust them.
