You might write that flame is shown for safety reasons but I know you really have a lamp based on the power cord coming from it. I, on other hand, had a classic one of these plus a few additions that allowed me to make NI3 (nitrogen tri-iodide, a lovely contact explosive), something that would get me in a world of hurt today.
