Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately it's not referring to the pugilist form of boxing.
On the ropes again.
It should be why. There are enough sports out there, that we may never have to work again for all the potential holidays.
I wonder why Boxing Day isn't a thing in America? UK, Canada, NZ, Aus all have it.
Probably because the booze manufacturers haven't spun it up here. We have Cinco de Mayo though. And it wasn't even our battle.
We also have Chinese New Year. I like the idea of adding everyone else's holidays to our calendar.

By the 21st century it had become a day associated with shopping and sporting events. Boxing Day is celebrated on Sunday, December 26, 2021.
