Big day of the fete the what it's all about day,, the grand parade.

At first rather chaotic because traffic was coming through one way and Disney (this years theme) was coming the opposite way. Par for the course really.

There wasn't as many spectators as pre covid which given the social destruction it causes is expected.

It was good to see so many friends and other vilagers making a complete fool of themselves. Again, par for the course.

All in all a winning time was had by all.

Including the 101 Dalmatians float that broke down in the middle of it all. Luckily there were lots of dogs to pull and push it along.

There's an old movie from 1973 called "Executive Action" about a hypothetical conspiracy to kill JFK. It seemingly drifted away into b-movie oblivion, but there's one line from that movie which has always stuck with me: "If I was a doctor, and I wanted to give the world an enema, I'd stick the nozzle right here in Dallas, Texas."
