About ten or fifteen years ago a storm hit a nearby city so that some were without power for a week. It was pretty bad for me too. I had to reset the oven clock.

Not had more than 8 hours while I've been here but there are old timers who talk about the 3 day power cut.

For us it depends on the circuit. Some is solar, some is mains (don't ask, its a old house with quirks). The kitchen is mains. Last week the oven clock was reset 7 times while they did some work to reduce power cuts...

The recent one we had was fourteen hours long for me. That is the longest that I can remember. Usually we take it for granted that we won't have any outages. The funny thing is that I may have seen the people "responsible" for our local outage. They were walking through the neighborhood seeing how extensive the outage was and I was doing the same. They mention how a big tree of theirs had been blown over. Of course they were not the only one. And that may have been why it took so long to restore power.
