Well, I could survive without it. I'd just have to pay more for insurance... we don't have that commie pinko socialist socialized medicine thing here....cause we're MERICANS!!!!!
We don't have socialized medicine here so you need insurance. And it is a benefit of years of work. But the insurance will combine with social security. Although I will say I was rather impressed with the Norwegian healthcare system, was not as shiny and impressive as it is here, but a trip to the emergency room which sent me off to a hospital/college to see a specialist, who called in the head of the department, where I expected a bill in the thousands....was only about $300
