The year I retired I worked a few extra months to max out my 401k contribution for the year.

Also the higher my salary when I retire, the higher my retirement check

For my date of birth Medicare starts in full at 67.5. Part C I cannot get or it will void my healthcare I will be getting from my job after I retire

Do you mean "medigap"? I had that before the bank decided to go all Part C and I had to switch because I don't trust "managed health" crap one whit.
