High tech IT win - my internet connection suddenly stopped. I tried first powercycling the modem. No joy. Then I tried the Comcast chatbot problem diagnostics but everything was fine per them. Then I tried to connect to the router from my browser and AHA - the router was wedged. A powercycle fixed its wagon. Fortunately for all the bits and pieces, I did not need to use the ultimate diagnostic tool - the 16lb sledgehammer.
